Hotel type
Family hotels mainly serve tourists on holidays or weekends, and most of them are built at the seaside and scenic spots. This kind of hotel has simple equipment, few services and strong seasonality. Giraffe manor
On a sunny morning, when you were sitting at the dining table, enjoying delicious croissants and fresh orange juice, a giraffe's neck suddenly came up to you through the window and insisted on sharing orange juice with you. This will make people stunned, but this is not a fairy tale. It is entirely possible that this scene happened in a giraffe hotel in Kenya.
At the foot of Kilimanjaro, there is a hotel called Giraffe Manor. Eight Rothschild giraffes live on the 57 hectares of the manor. These big guys are 5 meters high and weigh two tons. This giraffe is a rare animal, which was once on the verge of extinction.
"Giraffe Manor" was established to accommodate these endangered giraffes. By letting tourists feed them, more people can realize the importance of living in harmony with nature and protecting wild animals.
Giraffe Manor has few rooms, but it can provide all-round services for tourists. Of course, the price here is comparable to that of a five-star hotel.
Prison hotel
There is a "prison hotel" in the charming city of Lucerne, Switzerland, which was converted from a prison. The prison was built in 1860, which was later expanded twice, and 1998 was converted into a hotel.
The "prison hotel" has maintained its original pattern in many places, and the door of the room has also followed the style of the prison door: there is a small wooden window for visiting on the thick wooden door, but it has been sealed. When I opened the door, I found two small windows with iron bars above my head. At night, the moonlight shines on the floor through the small window. It's quiet and cold, and it really feels like a real prison!
The price of this hotel is very cheap. You can stay in the "prison" for only 50 Swiss francs (RMB 325). When you go to Switzerland, you may wish to experience the taste of a foreign "prison".
Xianhe restaurant
Near the Dutch town of Haringen, there is a unique crane hotel in the world. Located along the Wadden Sea, this hotel was transformed from a port crane. The overhead cab of the crane is the only "guest room" in the hotel.
It's a little troublesome to get into the guest room. You need to take the elevator from the ground to the platform in the air, and then transfer to another elevator to get to the room. The guest room has a double bed, two chairs, an open kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. The sound, lighting and sound effects in the room can be operated through the touch screen.
The biggest highlight of this hotel is that it can control the controller by itself and rotate the crane weighing dozens of tons 360 degrees. Unfortunately, the space in the crane cab is limited, so this hotel can only accommodate two tourists at the same time, and the price is 3 19 euros per night, which is really expensive, but according to the tourists who have stayed, the "crane hotel" is definitely worth a try.
