Dunhuang in summer, the six places you can't miss the most.

Spend a summer night in Dunhuang.

Dunhuang is a good place, especially in summer. At this time, Dunhuang is far away from sandstorms and there is no cold outside the Great Wall. The heat wave, all kinds of melons and fruits, and tourists from all directions dressed Dunhuang as a beautiful little girl.

Traveling to Dunhuang in summer is undoubtedly a fascinating thing. In mid-June, we came down to Dunhuang in the scorching sun.

When you get to Dunhuang, which is famous at home and abroad, you can not only go to Mogao Grottoes, Crescent Moon Spring, Mingsha Mountain, Yangguan, Yumenguan and Ghost Town, but also experience the Dunhuang customs in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.

1. Cool Mogao Grottoes

"The Mogao Grottoes are cool, and there is a kind of coolness beyond people's imagination." This is something that many tourists did not expect, and we are no exception.

It has become an irrefutable "truth" that everyone who goes to Dunhuang must go to the Mogao Grottoes. No wonder Dunhuang's fame is entirely made by Mogao Grottoes, and it is human nature to pursue fame and profit.

We choose to go to Mogao Grottoes in the morning. Depart from Dunhuang Oasis Hotel at 8: 00 a.m. and arrive at the parking lot of Dunhuang Research Institute more than 40 minutes later. Then we spent half an hour going through the formalities. At about 9: 30, under the guidance of Miss Wang, the guide of the reception department of the college, we began to visit through the ticket gate.

Mogao Grottoes, commonly known as Thousand Buddha Caves, are representative grottoes in Dunhuang Grottoes. Located on the gravel cliff at the eastern foot of Mingsha Mountain, 25 kilometers southeast of Dunhuang City, it was built in the second year of Jianyuan before Qin Dynasty (AD 366), and has experienced thousands of years such as Beiliang, Northern Wei, Western Wei, Northern Zhou, Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties, Song, Xixia and Yuan. So far, there are 735 caves, including 492 caves with statues and murals, more than 45,000 square meters of murals, more than 3,000 colored sculptures and 5 wooden eaves in the Tang and Song Dynasties.

Since 1900, the world-famous Tibetan scriptures cave was discovered, Dunhuang has once again attracted people's attention. Visit Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, including several caves such as the Tibetan Sutra Cave and the ninth floor, as well as the Tibetan Sutra Cave Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall. Everyone is already familiar with the Tibetan Sutra Cave, so I won't go into details here.

In fact, the ninth floor is also a very famous scenic spot in Mogao Grottoes. Visitors to Dunhuang almost always take photos in front of the ninth floor of the Mogao Grottoes, which is the landmark building of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes. However, people may not know that the ninth floor has been rebuilt 22 times since the Tang Dynasty.

This is a miracle in the history of world architecture. Although every reconstruction is the re-establishment of faith, we still have to marvel at the great power of believers.

During the visit, the tour guide told us 22 stories about rebuilding the ninth floor. 1999 10, in order to improve the lighting in front of Dunhuang Mogao grottoes, people dug a cable trench in front of the grottoes. Before the project went to No.96 cave, the square tile and stone pillar foundation were found about 1 m below the surface, and experts carried out rescue excavation. First, dig caves 94, 95 and 96, and then dig a trench on the ground in front of the ninth floor. On the basis of comprehensive analysis, 96 caves were excavated. By the middle of June of that year 165438+ 10, the excavation had been completed, and 500 square meters had been excavated, which was quite fruitful.

After this excavation, the ground of the Tang Dynasty in front of the nine-story north statue was exposed, and the underground excavation made the giant Buddha grow one meter taller. At the same time, a number of precious cultural relics were unearthed during the excavation, and the ruins of temples in front of caves in the early Tang Dynasty, Xixia Dynasty and Qing Dynasty were discovered, including the ground of caves in the Yuan Dynasty. Prior to this, the site of Dongqian Temple was discovered in the Five Dynasties, which advanced the time of Dongqian Temple by 200 years. Experts believe that the hall in front of Cave 96 has been rebuilt 22 times.

It won't take long to visit the Mogao Grottoes, because all caves are only open at about 10, and you can visit them in about an hour and a half, and the rest of the time is spent on shopping and other activities. The ninth floor is the last project we visited. After visiting the ninth floor, we ended our visit to Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes.

The colorful murals and stories accompanied by reality and reality made me firmly remember Dunhuang. But the coolness in the cave is the most influential. Because caves are as warm in winter and cool in summer as caves, like a natural air conditioner.

2.comfortable Mingsha Mountain

Today, Dunhuang is a small county in the west of Hexi Corridor, but it was an international metropolis in the prosperous Tang Dynasty more than 1000 years ago. In 2005, the tourism income of Dunhuang reached 390 million yuan, which made many counties and districts in Gansu envious, among which Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring contributed greatly.

"A bend is like the beginning of a moon string, and half a mirror is better than Kagami Akira." Crescent Spring, located 6 kilometers south of Dunhuang, Gansu, is surrounded by Mingsha Mountain. It is called crescent spring because it is shaped like a half moon. In the past 2000 years, Crescent Moon Spring lived alone in the sand sea, which made it famous at home and abroad.

Visiting Crescent Moon Spring is the most enjoyable. This kind of comfort is produced in the contrast between hot and cool.

I visited the Mogao Grottoes in the morning and experienced the comfort after hardship in Mingsha Mountain at noon. At about four o'clock in the afternoon, we drove to the ghost town and visited Yumen Pass and the ghost town along the way.

Yumenguan and ghost towns are places that Dunhuang people talk about. As soon as I arrived in Dunhuang, my friends kept saying that Dunhuang belonged to this place except the Mogao Grottoes.

Some friends described the ghost town as a mysterious place, while others described it as a loess pile far away from the city. As a result, the ghost town has become a place that tourists yearn for.

All insiders say that the sunset in a ghost town is the most beautiful scenery, so it needs to be enjoyed at sunset. After taking a photo in front of Yumenguan, we hurried to the ghost town.

Ghost Town is 0/90km away from Dunhuang/Kloc-.It is a large-scale Ya Dan landform group discovered by China near Dunhuang. It is connected to Lop Nur on the west, covering an area of about 400 square kilometers.

"Ya Dan" is a Uyghur language, meaning a mountain with steep walls. Geologically, Ya Dan landform refers to a landscape composed of a series of parallel ridges and grooves after long-term wind erosion.

It is called a ghost town mainly because the wind speed here is extremely fast. When they pass the ground, they will make a strange cry of "whoops", just like the devil growling, so people call it "ghost town".

There are no demons in the ghost town, but there are unforgettable scenery. We arrived at the ghost town around 7: 20 pm, just in time for the "sunset by the sea".

After we stopped, a shocking picture appeared in front of us. In our east, there are dozens of mounds cut off by strong winds, one next to the other, four or five meters high and two or three meters low. They are arranged very regularly together with ventilation ducts in the middle.

Hundreds of thousands of years ago, these mounds were connected. Later, the natural environment changed, and strong winds blew over the land, gradually blowing away the crisp soil and sand in the middle of the mound. At the same time, after the knife-like wind swept, these mounds were carved into strange shapes.

After visiting the ghost town, it was getting late, and the afterglow of the sunset shone on the earth, leaving a golden layer. In the twilight, we set foot on the way home.

4. Taste Li Guangxing

Different villages have different stories, but some have been forgotten by history and become ancient stories, and some still have their vitality and are still circulating among the people.

Li Guangxing is sought after by many tourists, because from the yellow and green apricots, we can appreciate the history it carries. On the streets of Dunhuang in summer, inadvertently, Li Guangxing's signboard was set up one after another.

As a result, piles of apricots have become a landscape on the streets of Dunhuang. "Li Guangxing, buy Li Guangxing!" Vendors are particularly loud to attract foreign tourists.

In the past, weigh a few Jin and taste it slowly. With a gentle bite, the faint sweetness will spread. "It's delicious", so a story was taken away.

Legend has it that Li Guangxing was brought back from Xinjiang by "Flying General" Li Guang. Here's the story. When Li Guang went to the Western Regions, he led troops to March in the desert to fight, but because there was no water, Li Guang and his soldiers were thirsty. At the end of the road, they suddenly saw something like rosy clouds. Li Guang and the soldiers ran over and saw that it was a piece of apricot forest. They were very happy and picked some apricots to quench their thirst. Who knew these apricots were bitter and astringent? The general was very angry. He drew his sword and cut off apricots. Who knows that the cut stump actually grows new branches, and the apricots on it are delicious, which solves the dilemma of the army. Later, when the army returned, General Li Guang brought almonds back to Dunhuang for planting. People called them Li Guangxing.

In fact, Li Guangxing was introduced to Dunhuang from Xinjiang by villagers in Heshui Village, Yangjiaqiao, Dunhuang in the 1920s, and later belonged to Li Guang, a flying general. Li Guangxing was not named to commemorate Li Guang, but was founded by the local people. They think that this apricot fruit is bright and fluffy, and looks like a plum, so it is named, that is, it is as bright as a plum fruit.

5. Shazhou Night Market

In fact, there is another good place in Dunhuang, namely Shazhou Night Market. Shazhou night market is an ancient name. It is said that it can be traced back to the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Only when tourists truly appreciate the charm of Shazhou night market can they truly accept Dunhuang from the deep heart and appreciate the charm of Dunhuang in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.

"Shazhou Night Market" is a large market, and Shazhou Night Market is the most attractive place in summer night. Strolling through the night market, large and small stalls, forest products and hospitable vendors bring a unique feeling.

In Shazhou Night Market, you can feel the flavor of the World Expo and truly appreciate the role of the Silk Road as the throat of the Silk Road.

?

The most attractive thing about Shazhou Night Market is the barbecue and apricot skin water there. The barbecue stall is located in the outermost part of the night market, with the focus on the passage for people to enter and exit. Bamboo loungers are lined up with clean and tidy big bath towels and a long coffee table in the middle. The enthusiastic boss shouted at the roadside, the charcoal fire on the barbecue was burning, and the smell of mutton floated in the air.

Tourists who have walked all day can't resist the temptation. Choose a chair to sit down, bring a large glass of iced apricot skin water, order dozens of skewers of roast mutton, and chat while eating barbecue in the cool breeze. Really fast! As a result, a wide-ranging discussion began, and the iced apricot skin water was replaced by beer, so a prosperous night of the Tang Dynasty began.

It's late at night, and it's cold. Those who have had enough rest will visit Shazhou night market again and buy some small gifts for their friends to take back, thus ending the trip to Dunhuang.
