Fish tank, flower field and beautiful lodging
Fish tank homestay is transformed from a farmhouse. Due to the development of local tourism industry, the owner wants to change the old and shabby pattern. Designers Shen Mo and Zhang Jianyong were invited to carry out renovation and re-plan the space to create a brand-new homestay space.
Architectural appearance
The "fish tank" originated from the homophonic name of the boss Yu Gang. He hoped that the guests, like a fish with only seven seconds' memory, could slow down here, forget their troubles and just enjoy the current swim. The overall design of the hotel is divided by the moving line of fish swimming freely, so that people can experience the feeling of freely shuttling from different spaces.
Bird's-eye view, free streamline
Looking at the building from below, the modern design style contrasts with the natural environment
The overall space planning is divided into small-area functional landscapes, and the small-area space becomes interesting and vivid through step-by-step design. The outdoor leisure space is covered with white stones, which separates the activity space from the living space. The wooden corridor with grating is full of rhythm, and the sunlight shines during the day, which can present different light and shadow.
The entrance leisure courtyard
The architectural design of the fish tank is mainly minimalist, and the architectural lines are smooth, which is very beautiful in geometric space from any angle. The designer used the concept of "a round place" on the viewing platform, sitting in a chair and looking through the square wall, there was a green bamboo forest in his eyes, and the pool in front reflected the bamboo forest scenery into a beautiful landscape painting, which seemed to have an interesting conversation with nature. Through the round door, you can see the tea garden in the distance, and at the same time, you can also lead to restaurants and yards, which is beautiful and functional.
Outdoor bar and dining area can enjoy beautiful natural scenery
An outdoor bar is specially set up, where you can enjoy different flower fields all year round. Push the door and enter the reception hall of the fish tank. The hall is divided into two areas, the reception center and the sunshine glass room.
The reception center is connected to the sun room
The glass room carries the light and shadow of the day, and the sunken surrounding space makes the atmosphere more intense. In winter, around the fireplace, with the warm sun, we can have tea and chat with friends and experience a leisurely life.

The whole hall uses large-area floor-to-ceiling glass windows and glass doors to the extreme. Designers don't want the color of Shan Ye outside the door to be blocked by heavy and cold walls, but hope that everything they see is Shan Ye green, and they can embrace the mountain scenery in their arms even if they don't go out.
Large areas of glass doors and windows allow visitors to enjoy the natural scenery
Large areas of blank space and log furniture in the room, and stairs, beds and TV cabinets with strong sense of modeling decorate the space just right. The criss-crossing stairs and the stairs with small windows are full of fun. Between the stairs, indoors and outdoors, it seems to blend together, so every corner, every corridor and every platform has become a scenery that cannot be missed.
Simple and modern rooms, French windows and observation deck allow people to enjoy the outdoor scenery
The open bathtub enhances the sense of freedom
The aquarium has six rooms and is named after fish, namely, mackerel, sturgeon, salmon, whale, Kun and carp. I hope that friends who can't sleep in the city will forget all their troubles as soon as they come here and be a carefree fish with only seven seconds of memory.

The Wild House of Joy and Valley Boutique B&B
The Shilin ancient village belongs to the valley landform in eastern Zhejiang, with abundant sunshine and rain, diverse vegetation and high coverage. Persimmons, cherry blossoms, bamboo shoots and tea are important economic crops in the ancient village. Surrounded by mountains, the unique geographical location makes this ancient village with a history of 8 years more mysterious. The ancient village has been exploring a new way with its thick and interwoven heritage and texture, hoping to promote the development of its tourism industry through the completion of boutique homestays.
Architectural overview
Architectural appearance
The Da Le Ye Gu She Boutique B&B is located in Shilin Ancient Village, and the interior design is completed by DAS Lab. The terrain of the project is a typical alpine platform, surrounded by high mountains and canyons, and the middle hills are even. Overlooking the surrounding landscape, the unique geographical location makes the natural landscape in the site rich and diverse. The layout of the building complex is similar to the design method of "Acropolis", which ensures the security of the internal activity space. The windows of the 22 rooms all face the periphery, leaving the interior with the natural landscape facing the outside.

Courtyard
Dining room is the most complicated space in this project. This space includes functions such as gathering, dining, check-in and negotiation. It is composed of three buildings with different heights, with a height of 1m in the middle and 8m floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides. Facing the lush vegetation and picturesque natural landscape, we hope to create a high-intensity collision between man-made and nature and an intuitive, subconscious and physical sense of balance through the physicality of materials. And create the same openness inside as outside, providing an impressive rest place in an instant.

Looking at the dining area from the negotiation space
For us, this space presents a restless and quiet dual orientation: on the one hand, it is an open space for entertainment and an organization with complex functions; On the other hand, it combines the diversity, accident and randomness of mountain forests. As an activity place, it inspires images with visibility, excitement, excitement and noise, while the mountain forest exudes hidden, isolated, lonely and silent scenes. Space creates a sense of balance under opposition.

We believe that the B&B as a medium to separate vision, emotion and thoughts from daily life, through space and scenery, We try our best to keep the design restrained in the guest room part, hoping to realize the integration between the naturally existing part and the artificially built part. This is our interpretation of the environment, places and owners, that is, to provide guests with a simple and warm place to rest.

Tasha Duduo Folk House
"Slow living" is a brand-new way of life and philosophy. In a city far from the hustle and bustle, a homestay full of "tasha tudor" style is gestating and growing on Mogan Mountain in Huzhou. The founders are three girls from Deqing, China, who want to create a new concept of "Tasha Garden" in China, and specially invited designer Shen Mo and designer Zhang Jianyong to create it. Approaching this garden, happiness fills every corner.
Architectural appearance
Looking at the pool and courtyard from the terrace
Tasha Duduo was transformed from an ordinary farmer's house, breaking the inherent regular structure and opening small windows in a large blank wall. According to local conditions, combined with the endless green organic farms around, green is reflected indoors through the design of large windows, which embodies the life and ecology everywhere. "Without too much language, everything becomes simple and not simple." Interprets the designer's understanding of Tasha Duduo.
Small windows are scattered on the wall with a large area of blank space
The designer keeps the original tile roof and beams, and the exterior wall is painted with a layer of earth tone paint, which makes it more gentle and quiet in the surrounding green.
Courtyard rest area
The natural metaphor is often used as the starting point of the design. A corner of the courtyard is decorated with a dry landscape and a rest area, which can make full use of the space by static braking. On the other side, the original banana leaves are planted, and the stepped seats are designed to rest here, where people and nature are companions and interesting. We often say that life needs a sense of ritual, and in Tasha Dudu, we can experience another definition of ritual, which is not solemn and silent, but full of temperature and vitality.

Courtyard footpath
Design of birdcage entrance door. Enlarging the small birdcage into real life is a perfect life of nature and humanity, and the huge birdcage is like an installation to lead guests from afar into another world. When spring comes, the birdcage will be full of rosa multiflora, and everything will look vibrant and poetic.
birdcage entrance door design
walk-by-walk design. There is a landscape pool and a swimming pool in the courtyard, and a footpath is placed horizontally between the interspersed pools. The designer intends to slow down the pace of pedestrians and feel the purest natural customs with the sound of the trickling water.
Landscape pool and footpath
Design of "wooden box" at home. Before entering the room, you need to go through a "wooden box" and climb the stairs. The oncoming green plants are full of eyes. Cleverly integrate people, things and space, so that space is no longer monotonous but interrelated, reflecting design thinking everywhere.
Entering the hotel from the "wooden box"
Entering the room, the space was divided into dynamic and static areas, and the original room on the first floor was opened, which became a fully open and exclusive space. And made a sinking design, focusing the space here, you can feel the warmth brought by the stove in winter, look at the extreme scenery in the distance through the arched glass, and enjoy the lazy and comfortable time. The interspersed design of the wall and the stove enhances the interest of the space.
