Play 1: Visit Xiaolianzhuang-former residence-Liu's ladder number-former residence.

The unique Nanxun ancient canal has bred many wealthy Nanxun silk merchants. These wealthy businessmen are divided into "four elephants, eight cows and seventy-two golden dogs", and those whose property is more than ten million silver are called "elephants". The mansions and gardens built by these wealthy businessmen have become the unique characteristics of nanxun town.

After entering the entrance of the scenic spot, the game begins with a pool of lotus flowers in Xiaolianzhuang and the private garden of Liu Yong, the head of the "four elephants" in Nanxun. You can see the grandeur of the former residence and the exquisite foreign flavor of Liu Tianti. Finally, you can visit the former residence of Zhang Jingjiang, a strange man of the Republic of China, located in the north of the scenic spot.

A guide map of the former residence of this building.

Xiaolianzhuang

Xiaolianzhuang is the private garden of Liu Yong, the head of the "Four Elephants" in Nanxun, which was built by the Liu family for more than 40 years. Xiaolianzhuang is usually the first stop of a trip to Nanxun. There are mainly stele gallery, Dongsheng Pavilion, scenic poem cave, Fan Pavilion, memorial archway, Jiuting and Liu Ancestral Hall in the park for viewing. Former residence of Zhang Shiming

Zhang Shiming's former residence, also known as Tang Yide, which is called "the first residence in the south of the Yangtze River", was built by the Zhang family, one of the four elephants in Nanxun. The whole mansion combines the traditional Jiangnan style with the Renaissance European architectural style, and the architecture combining Chinese and Western culture contains a strong history and architectural culture. Apart from the building itself, the decorations, plaques, sculptures, calligraphy and paintings in the house are extremely exquisite. The imported blue glass windows, classical Roman columns and exquisite wood carvings combine Chinese and western styles, which is magnificent.

Liu's staircase, also known as the "Red Chamber", belongs to the third son of Liu Yong, the richest man in Nanxun's "Four Elephants". The first half of the house is an ancient building in China, and the most distinctive feature is that the Chinese architecture in the north and south is integrated into the Romanesque style in western Europe. Western-style buildings built with red bricks, from Roman columns to imported stained glass and indoor furniture, not only retain the local culture, but also have exotic customs.

Former Residence of Zhang Jingjiang

Zhang Jingjiang's former residence, also known as Zunde Hall, was built by Zhang Songxian, the grandfather of Zhang Jingjiang, one of the "Four Elephants" in Nanxun. Zhang Jingjiang's life is full of legends. Sun Yat-sen called him a "revolutionary sage" and Chiang Kai-shek called him a "revolutionary mentor". Zhang Jingjiang's former residence is a typical mansion in the south of the Yangtze River, maintaining the traditional style of ancient buildings in the Qing Dynasty. In the former residence, you can see precious photos of him, Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-shek during the Republic of China, as well as notes, account books, calligraphy and painting.

There are about150,000 woodcuts in Ye Jia Library, most of which were carved in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, covering all kinds of ancient books in Tang and Song Dynasties.
