Lijiang Tourist Accommodation Brands
Last year I wrote an informative post | How to choose a bay and hotel in Sanya. The response was quite good, and many readers said it was very practical. I also hope that Xiyoujun can write about other cities.
In addition to Sanya, I have also been to Lijiang a lot in recent years, and I have basically stayed in all the relatively good hotels in Lijiang.
Now that I feel like I have some say, I will write an article today about how to choose a hotel in Lijiang.
This is my opinion about Lijiang.
I have always felt that Yunnan’s tourism resources are the richest among many provinces in China. And if you want to visit Yunnan, Kunming and Lijiang can be two good transit places.
Kunming is almost the center of Yunnan, and there are flights to major airports in Yunnan. The high-speed rail is also well developed.
As for Lijiang, you can play together with Dali in the south and Lugu Lake and Shangri-La in the north.
Basically, domestic first- and second-tier cities have direct flights to Kunming and Lijiang. However, there are only a few cities in China that offer direct flights to Tengchong, Banna, Dali, Shangri-La, and Pu'er.
July-August is the peak travel season in Lijiang because it is summer vacation.
Although it is summer, it is basically unlikely that temperatures above 27 or 8 degrees will occur in Lijiang, so the vacation experience is still good. The disadvantage is that there is a lot of rain at this time, so there is a high probability that the sun will not shine on Jinshan Mountain.
September to November is my favorite time in Lijiang.
There are not many people after the summer, and the hotel is cost-effective. At the same time, the weather is nice in the crisp autumn weather, and it doesn’t rain much. You can basically see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, including the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain in the morning.
The period from December to April is actually winter in Lijiang.
But after all, the latitude is low, so the winter in Lijiang is actually not too cold. It is more than 10 degrees during the day, and the temperature difference between morning and evening will be larger.
Winter is the best time to see snow-capped mountains, whether it is Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang or Meili Snow Mountain in Diqing.
May and June are spring in Lijiang.
The flowers in Shangri-La are blooming and the water plants in Lugu Lake are swaying. But the disadvantage is the same as July-August, there is still more rain.
So, how to live in Lijiang?
My usual approach is to classify hotels in a city according to my own preferences. This is very subjective, but there is nothing wrong with it. Bloggers still have to have some subjective preferences of their own.
First gear: Xueshan Puxiu, Dayan Aman, Wuyulan
Second gear: Baisha Qingpu, Hefu Intercontinental, Ancient City Indigo, Jade Dragon Residence Wild Luxury Tent Camp, Banyan Tree, Hyatt Reserve
Third Category: LUX*, Pullman, Luxury Hotel, Howard Johnson, Snow Mountain·Lijiang Shujia Yulu Designer Resort Hotel
Well, there are no B&Bs. This is due to personal preference.
In terms of location, Lijiang’s hotels are mainly concentrated in:
Dayan Ancient Town
Shuhe Ancient Town
Baisha Ancient Town
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
In addition, Jinlin Howard Johnson is near Qingxi Park
If it is your first time to go to Lijiang, I recommend you to stay in Dayan Ancient Town. Or 2 nights and 2 nights in Dayan Shuhe and Dayan Baisha are not bad either.
Although many people say that the Old Town of Lijiang is too commercialized, when you go there for the first time, you always want to wander around the ancient town.
There are so many B&Bs in the ancient city that they are so numerous that they are already overflowing.
There are not many attractive hotels, only 4.
Dayan Aman has the best location, Lion Rock, which is a good angle to overlook the panoramic view of Lijiang Ancient City.
The hotel’s designer is the late JAYA, so you can see the shadow of Hangzhou Fayun Aman and Shaoxing Anlu in Dayan Aman.
The hotel has its own scenic spot, Wenchang Palace, which was an imperial examination room in ancient times and is now the largest temple park in the ancient city of Lijiang. The only hotel that has a scenic spot is Dayan Aman.
Dayan Aman is very good, except that the price is too expensive. Of course, the high price is my problem, not Aman's.
If you can only choose one hotel to stay in Dayan Ancient City, I would choose Dayan Aman.
I have written about this hotel before, you can read this article - the small one is hidden in the wild, the middle one is hidden in the city, the big one is hidden in Aman
Hefu Intercontinental, the ancient city Indigo , LUX are very close to each other. In the south of Lijiang Old Town, near Zhongyi Market.
Hefu InterContinental has the most positive location, and the view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the lobby bar is almost the best in the entire Dayan Ancient City.
The feeling of living in Hefu Intercontinental Hotel is the same as that in the ancient city of Lijiang. Some of Lijiang's famous sights, such as the large water wheel, one of the signatures, are also available in the hotel. The rooms in the hotel are also independent two-story Naxi huts.
The ancient city of Indigo is relatively more fashionable, whether it is a room or a hotel. Personally, I think if you have children, you should stay at InterContinental; if you are a couple, Indigo is definitely suitable.
But in fact, it doesn’t matter which house these two live in. The facilities are all shared by the same owner.
Lijiang’s LUX* is the first LUX* hotel in China, so let’s test the waters.
The hotel was renovated from two old Naxi houses, with a total of 25 guest rooms. There is also a restaurant and a cafe. It is slightly inferior to the neighboring InterContinental and Indigo, but it is still enough to beat the Yiqian Inn in Dayan Ancient City.
There are mainly four hotels in Shuhe, Banyan Tree, Fuli Lang, Pullman, and Hyatt Collection.
To be honest, because I visit Lijiang more often, I live in Shuhe far more than I live in Dayan Ancient Town. Compared with Dayan Ancient Town, Shuhe Ancient Town has fewer businesses and is very clean.
When on vacation, you always don’t like crowds of people.
However, Shuhe currently has a small problem, which is the construction of the Lijiang Museum. Therefore, due to the angle of the Pullman and Hyatt Reserve hotels folding over the snow-capped mountains, there will be some crane views that affect the view.
Personally, I would prefer the Hyatt Grand Selection, mainly because the food is delicious and the rooms are newer.
And this hotel is owned by the same owner as Xueshan Puxiu on the mountain, so from time to time there are some 2 for 2 packages, which are very cost-effective.
The Chinese restaurant in the Hyatt Regency Collection is called Dianxiang Restaurant, which specializes in Yunnan cuisine. This is a restaurant that I will go to even if I am not staying in the Hyatt Collection. It is not only delicious but also cost-effective.
I have written about this hotel before, you can read this article - life is too short to spend it in the cold, wet and cold. Do you want to know more about the first Hyatt Reserve in China?
The advantage of Banyan Tree is that it is the closest to Shuhe Ancient Town, and the landscape of the hotel’s public area is pretty good. The disadvantages are the price and the fact that this Banyan Tree is really a bit old, so the rooms are relatively average.
Pullman and Fuli Lang are the two most cost-effective hotels in Shuhe. Last year, the Pullman had a three-night stay for 999, and the Fuli Lang had a two-night stay for 599. This counts. Very exaggerated price.
If you think about it, staying in a B&B in Dayan or Shuhe may be more expensive than this price.
Reflux is relatively new, while Pullman has the brand support of Accor.
Choose freely.
Baisha Ancient Town is an ancient town 12 kilometers north of Lijiang City. It is a good choice to escape the hustle and bustle of Lijiang. This is the most original Naxi village.
If I go to Lijiang next time, I will definitely stay in Baisha. It is the cleanest place and is closer to the snow-capped mountains than Dayan and Shuhe.
There are only two hotels in Baisha worth staying in, one is Qingpu and the other is Hylla.
I really like Wuyarashi, but there is too little information about this restaurant, and it was officially opened around May this year, and it is only a trial operation now.
But just after seeing the pictures, I fell in love with this place.
I have already booked a room at Nianhou Mo and Lan. I feel that this hotel is just like Pu Xiu and is worth a special trip to stay at. After my stay, I will be able to write a detailed report for you.
The white sand and green grass are also good. My editor sister Leilei stayed at this hotel when she went to Lijiang last time.
At Qingpu at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, I saw the most beautiful stars in Lijiang City
The design of Baisha Qingpu was created by the emerging Japanese designer Yuko Tsutsumi. Although he is a Japanese designer, his understanding of Chinese culture and Naxi elements is quite good.
And the most important thing about Qingpu is that it will include breakfast, dinner, and artistic and cultural activities. Baisha Qingpu's art and cultural activities will take you to visit Baisha Ancient Town. It will definitely be much easier to have a professional person take you around the ancient town than to wander around on your own.
Finally, let’s talk about staying in the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area.
Everything in Lijiang can be replaced, but Jade Dragon Snow Mountain cannot be replaced. I would recommend that when you go to Lijiang, you must go to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area to stay for one night. It's so soul-cleansing here.
There are not many choices in Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Pu Xiu has introduced it many times and it is my favorite hotel in Lijiang. Whether it’s watching the sun shine on the golden mountains in the morning or watching the stars in the sky at night, it’s great.
For details, just read the article I wrote before - the sun shines on the golden mountains, and the shooting stars rain like rain! Unforgettable scenery in the snow-capped mountains
Today we will focus on the Jade Dragon Wild Luxury Tent Camp. This is a wild luxury holiday camp. One camp occupies the entire valley, and it is also an excellent place to face the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. perspective.
When I went to live in Puxiu before, I made a special trip to this camp once to see it.
This is a tent hotel located halfway up a mountain at an altitude of 2,800 meters with a small number of rooms. So the price is really not cheap.
The facilities are not as good as those in Puxiu, but they are worse than pure ones. There will also be some outdoor activities to play.
Finally, is the summary.
If you go to Lijiang for the first time, it is recommended to stay in Dayan Ancient Town or Dayan Shuhe.
If you want to visit Lijiang more, it is recommended to stay for 1-2 nights and go to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area. This is the real difference.
If you insist on choosing the most suitable hotel in each area of ??Lijiang, Dayan Ancient Town I-stop Intercontinental Indigo, Shuhe I-choose Hyatt Unlimited Selection, Baisha I-choose Hotel and Lan , The snow-capped mountains must be in pristine condition.
Of course, Dayan Aman is also good, but it is just a hotel recommendation, and cost-effectiveness is also one of the factors that must be considered.
