End point: Yuntai Mountain

1. Yuntai Mountain is located at the junction of Xiuwu County in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province and Lingchuan County in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. The scenic area covers an area of 240 square kilometers, including Hongshi Gorge, Tanpu Gorge, Quanpu Gorge, Qinglong Gorge, Linfeng Gorge, Zifang Lake, Cornus officinalis Peak, Macaque Valley, Diecai Cave and Baijiayan.

Second, the terrain of the park is complex, and the climate changes with altitude and mountain shape, with obvious differences from top to bottom. Primitive secondary forest covers the whole mountain, with more than 500 kinds of trees and exotic flowers and grasses. The main peak of Yuntai Mountain, Cornus officinalis Peak, is 13 14m above sea level, and there is Yuntai Waterfall with a drop of 3 14m. It is one of the largest waterfalls found in China, located at the end of the spring waterfall canyon.

There are rich geological relics in the park. Over the past 3 billion years, Archean, Yuanguyu, Paleozoic and Cenozoic strata have been formed; Many tectonic movements, especially in recent 23 million years, the intense uplift of neotectonic movement and the deep undercutting of water erosion have created a canyon group with two opposite cliffs and various dynamic waterfalls, springs, streams and ponds, which have become a vast and elegant "Yuntai landform" landscape.

The history of Yuntai Mountain can be traced back to Xia and Shang Dynasties. Since Ming and Qing Dynasties, there have been many literati here. The Tang Dynasty was called Busan, and the Jin Dynasty was called Yuntai Mountain. The name continued to modern times, and the seven sages of bamboo forest lived in seclusion in the mountains, which played a connecting role for China gardens from the palace to nature.
