How to calculate hotel real-time passenger flow?

Order quantity = flow * conversion rate

What exactly is traffic?

Whether it is traditional hotel operation or current hotel OTA operation, traffic can be understood as passenger flow. But one thing needs to be noted: passenger flow is not equal to order quantity.

Suppose 100 guests arrive at the store, but in the end only 50 guests place orders and make reservations. So in this case, the 100 guests who arrive at the store are what we call traffic. Similarly, in this case, our conversion rate is actually only 50%. In other words, our turnover is only brought by these 50% guests. Therefore, there are two ways for hotels to increase their turnover: the first is to expand the entrance of traffic. That is to attract more people to the store. The second is to increase the conversion rate and let as many customers place orders as possible. So how does passenger flow affect hotel turnover?

As can be seen from the above example, the purpose of traffic is to attract more people to the store. In other words, let more people see us and find us. In the online operation of the hotel, some people call it traffic exposure, which is to let our hotel be seen by more people. How to improve the traffic, that is, how to let yourself be seen by more people, is actually to improve our exposure. As long as we try our best to be seen by more people, then the traffic will naturally be attracted to us.
