Tangshan Hot Spring

Tangshan Hot Spring Tangshan, known as "hot spring" in ancient times, was named after the hot spring and has a history of more than 1,500 years. The water of Tangshan Hot Spring is slightly yellow, has good transparency and has no odor. Tangshan Hot Spring has a daily water output of 5,000 tons. The water temperature is 60-65 degrees Celsius all year round. It contains more than 30 minerals and trace elements. It has been identified as a calcium-magnesium hot spring containing trace amounts of strontium and radon. It is good for many skin diseases and arthritis. It has curative effects on chronic diseases and is most suitable for the development of hot spring recuperation, fitness entertainment, hot spring vacation and other projects. Thousands of years ago, Tangshan Hot Spring was designated as an imperial hot spring during the Xiaoliang period of the Southern Dynasty. In 1918, it was praised as a "beautiful place" by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in "The Founding Strategy of the People's Republic of China".

Near the springs of Tangshan Hot Spring, people can see many natural minerals with good crystallization. Among them are white, light yellow, gray and other colors of rhombohedral calcite, as well as light yellow, light green, lavender cubic or octahedral fluorite. These two minerals are sediments brought to the ground by hot spring water, which are called "quanhua". The beautiful and colorful springs are the condensation of nature's life and can evoke people's fantastic thoughts.

Since the Southern Dynasties, dignitaries and literati from all dynasties have come here to visit and bathe.

It is said that during the Xiaoliang period of the Southern and Northern Dynasties, a queen mother cured skin diseases and was named a holy spring by the emperor.

It is said that during the Dezong period of the Tang Dynasty, there was an observer named Han Huang from Zhejiang. His daughter contracted a "bad disease" and sought medical treatment everywhere, but nothing improved. Later, he heard that Tangshan Spring could cure it, so he made a special trip to send his daughter to him. She took a bath in Tangshan and was cured of her illness quickly.

To this end, he used the dowry money for his daughter to build the "Shengtang Yanxiang Temple" (commonly known as Tangwang Temple) here.

In the early years of the Republic of China, a large number of dignitaries built hot spring villas here, among which the "Tao Cottage" built in 1919 by Jiangning celebrity Tao Baojin is the most famous. In 1927, Tao gave "Tao Lu" to the Chiangs and his wife as a gift.

●Food and specialties

1. Tangshan Town is not famous for its food, but there are many restaurants in the town. The local dishes are all salted chicken, salted goose and red meat, and the taste is actually Not bad!

2. Tangshan Panji is a local specialty highly recommended by the locals. It tastes great and has an excellent texture. However, it is difficult to buy it in the town. After checking, there is a Tangshan Panji near the highway exit. Chicken factory, you can buy directly at your door.

Here is my food guide:

There is nothing special about Tangshan’s local delicacies. Find a clean restaurant to have a meal of Tujia cuisine. Tangshan Panji should be famous, and it costs 20 yuan a piece. It weighs about a kilogram, can be eaten in or taken out, and is vacuum packed. The local food is very cheap. At just over 20 yuan per person, you should be able to eat pretty well.

You can taste authentic Huaiyang cuisine in the hot spring resort, and the prices are of course a bit high.

The snack shop "Tofu Fang" in Mingwen Wenhua Village sells dried fennel, stinky tofu, etc. that taste good. There is a "Yangshan Restaurant" outside Ming Wenhua Village, which combines Nanjing cuisine with northern and southern flavors. You can taste local game from Tangshan. The most distinctive feature is the fish head from Tangquan Lake. In winter, you can have a steaming "fish head soup" , absolutely enjoyable, but be sure to book in advance.

Nanjing snacks have a long history and a wide range of varieties. Since the Six Dynasties period, there are more than 80 varieties. Famous snacks include meat and vegetables, sweet and salty, and come in various shapes. Nanjing Confucius Temple Qinhuai snacks are one of the four snack groups in my country. Teahouses, restaurants, and street snacks are everywhere in the Confucius Temple area, forming a food center with unique Qinhuai traditional characteristics. Among them, eight sets of Qinhuai flavor snacks including "Eight Wonders of Qinhuai" are famous for their fine craftsmanship, beautiful shape, exquisite selection of materials and unique flavor. The eight specialties are:
