Where is Tengchong?

Tengchong City belongs to Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. Tengchong City is located in the west of Yunnan Province, adjacent to Lushui City in the northeast, Longyang District in the east, Longling County and lianghe county in the south, Yingjiang County in the west, and Myanmar and China in the northwest and north. It is located between 98 05' ~ 98 45' E and 24 38' ~ 25 52' N, covering an area of 5,845 square kilometers. Tengchong is located where the Eurasian plate collided with the Indian plate, and there was a fierce volcanic movement in geological history. It is precisely because of the drift and collision between the two continents that Tengchong has become a rare and typical volcanic geothermal reservoir in the world. Fiona Fang covers an area of 1000 square kilometers, with 99 volcanoes and 88 hot springs. There are many mountains in Tengchong, with the highest elevation of 3780 meters and the lowest elevation of 930 meters. Among them, Gaoligong Mountain is an integral part of Hengduan Mountains. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Dam area (river valley) accounts for 16% of the total area, and mountainous and semi-mountainous areas account for 84%. Attractions: 1. Tengchong Confucian Temple: Tengchong Confucian Temple, also known as Gong Xue and Hong Xue, is located in Tengchong City and is a large building complex. Founded in the 16th year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the 5th year of Guangxu, it is the only well-preserved Gong Xue west of Nujiang River and the only ancient architectural complex in Tengchong during the Anti-Japanese War. 2. Tengchong Volcano National Geopark: Tengchong Volcano National Geopark features ancient volcanic geological relics and related geothermal hot springs. There are 97 volcanoes in the park, of which 25 are well preserved. 3. Tengchong Rehai: Tengchong Rehai is located 20 kilometers southwest of Tengchong City, with an area of about 9 square kilometers. There are more than 80 large gas springs and hot springs.
