The arched building, called the Ark Hotel, is structured so that it floats freely on the water. The design of the Ark Hotel is also in line with the characteristics of an eco-climatic residence, with an independent life support system inside, including factors that close the functional loop. This Ark concept can be built in any climatic conditions, as well as in extremely dangerous areas, because its base is a solid shell structure without any angles or edges. The load-bearing system of the arch structure and cables ensures that the weight of the entire building is redistributed in the event of an earthquake. The finishing touch of architectural design is the proper handling of the connection between volume and external space, which not only saves materials, but also improves energy utilization.
