What is wine? What is its service operation? What role does it play in wine service?

Showing wine is also called wine testing. The purpose of displaying wine is to let the guests accept and verify the accuracy of the drinks ordered, and at the same time, let the guests further verify that the drinks sold are genuine through the trademark and appearance of the bottle.

Displaying wine can also show the thoughtfulness of the service staff and respect for the guests.

Service standard for ordering wine for guests

(1) After the guests are seated, the waiter should immediately hand over the wine list. After a while, the waiter or bartender will ask the guests what drinks they like.

(2) The waiter should introduce the varieties of drinks and cocktails to the guests and answer their questions patiently.

(3) After the check-out, the waiter should repeat the name and quantity of the drinks ordered to the guests and get confirmation to avoid mistakes.

(4) The waiter should remember the drinks ordered by each guest, so as not to send the wrong wine.

(5) Drinks shall be made in triplicate, and the date, station number, variety and quantity of drinks, special requirements of handlers and guests shall be clearly written when filling in. The first copy is handed over to the cashier for bookkeeping, the second copy is sealed by the cashier and handed over to the bar drinks, and the third copy is kept by the bartender.
