How to check the hotel camera

There are several ways to check whether the hotel has a camera: check the room, use the mobile phone application, turn on the camera function of the mobile phone, use the wireless detector, pay attention to the hotel evaluation, infrared flashlight and so on.

First, check the room.

Carefully check the walls, ceilings and furniture of the room for suspicious holes or unknown devices, which may be hidden cameras. You can also aim the flashlight at the suspicious area with the help of a mobile phone flashlight. If you see flicker or reflection, you need to further check whether there is a hidden camera.

Second, use mobile phone applications.

It is easy to understand that there are some special mobile phone applications that can detect whether there are monitoring devices in the Wi-Fi network.

Third, turn on the camera function of the mobile phone.

Turn off the lights in the room and close the curtains. Leave the room in a dark state without any light. The darker the room, the better the inspection status! Then turn on the camera function of the mobile phone and slowly turn around the room to see the dead angle and ceiling of the room.

Fourth, use wireless detectors.

Use professional wireless detectors to scan electronic equipment, wireless signals and other potential eavesdropping and monitoring tools, including signal jammers, Wi-Fi probes, telephone monitors, etc.

Fifth, pay attention to hotel evaluation.

Check the comments and opinions of other tourists on the hotel, and pay attention to whether there are problems such as "invasion of privacy" and "being photographed". If there is, you should be extra careful.

Six, infrared flashlight

Bring your own infrared flashlight and use it to check all exposed holes, such as vents and power socket boards. Because most cameras are curved, there will be obvious red reflection points when viewed with infrared flashlight.
