Brief introduction of Anhui University of Science and Technology

Anhui University of Science and Technology, located in Huainan City, Anhui Province, is a university jointly established by Anhui Province and the Emergency Management Department. The revitalization plan of higher education in Anhui Province is a "high-level university with local characteristics", the peak discipline construction plan of Anhui Province especially supports universities, and the national "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" supports universities. It has been selected into the universities implementing the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, the training and selection base for reserve officers of the People's Liberation Army in China, the first batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, the first batch of national new engineering research and practice projects, and the national demonstration base for training innovative talents.

Founded in 1945, the school has the same roots as Hefei University of Technology and is the first engineering university in Anhui Province. 1955, the school was upgraded from Huainan Coal Mining Institute to Hefei Mining Institute, 1956 moved to Hefei, 19765438 was renamed Hefei University of Technology, 197 1 moved to Huainan. After that, it went through the school-running period of Huainan Mining Institute and Huainan Institute of Technology, during which the former East China Coal Medical College and Huainan Chemical School were merged successively. In 2002, the school was renamed Anhui University of Science and Technology. In 2022, Anhui Automobile Industry School merged.
