Places worth visiting in Chengdu:
1. Wuhou Temple and the surrounding Jinli; the cultural concept of the Three Kingdoms, the couplets in the courtyard are famous, check the following online in advance, if you understand Go check it out, it’s more interesting. The snacks in Jinli are too expensive, not worth the expense, just for a look. You can go to nearby Huadu to eat. There are many things to choose from there, and the spicy hot pot at Rainbow Bridge is very good, not too spicy, and suitable for outsiders.
2. Du Fu Thatched Cottage and the surrounding Huanhuaxi Park; the cultural atmosphere there is better, and the couplets are also famous. There is Mapo Tofu nearby, you can go there, it is a specialty of Chengdu after all. In fact, there is a very good restaurant next to Mapo Tofu, but I forgot the name. There were many people queuing up at night. There is an antique market in Shuixianqiao nearby. Most of them are fakes, but there are also real ones. If you can’t really afford them, you can just buy some fake ones. It’s worth a visit.
******Recommendation: Go to the Thatched Cottage in the morning, Wuhou Temple in the afternoon, and eat at Huadu in the evening. You can stay at the 7 Days Inn near Nanmen Bridge.
3. Kuanzhai Alley in the urban area; a renovated old Chengdu Imperial City street. The food is very expensive, so you can take a look and take some photos. The nearby Lixue Beef Offal is good. You can also take some photos at the nearby Qintai Road. It is said to be the place where Wenjun and Sima Xiangru fell in love.
4. Around Chunxi Road in the urban area; this is the core commercial area of ??Chengdu. It is just for sightseeing and has no characteristics. It is known as the 10 most commercially valuable streets in China. There are a lot of places to eat in the surrounding area. The place where snacks are concentrated is Long Chaoshou (it seems that locals don’t eat there, at least I don’t go there). There are also many restaurants near Wangfujing that focus on snacks. We often eat on the street behind the shopping mall and recommend Yutian. This restaurant is famous for its cooking, which is convenient, cheap and fast. In nearby Qingshiqiao, there are also many places to eat, such as Baijia Fei Rice Roll Rice Roll, Zhang Duck (stir-fried dishes are special), and a buckwheat noodle shop.
***** Recommendation: Go to Kuanzhai Alley in the morning and Chunxi Road in the afternoon. You can see the night view of Chunxi Road and Tianfu Square (although it is not interesting, but it is Chengdu after all) and you can stay there. Youth hostel in Kuanzhai Alley.
5. Wenshu Monastery and the surrounding Wenshu Temple; this is one of the four major temples in the Chengdu Plain (Baoguang Temple in Xindu, Shijing Temple in Longquan, and Zhaojue Temple in the north gate). Drinking tea in Wenshu Monastery is also a very relaxing thing. There are some Chengdu local specialties, snacks and the like nearby, you can check them out. There is a leaf duck on nearby Xinhua Avenue, which is quite good. If you want to eat, you can go near the Beimen Bridge. There are many hot pots, cold cups and the like.
6. Near Wangjiang Park and Sichuan University; I didn’t want to recommend it at first, but seeing that you are students, I also suggest that you go and take a look around Sichuan University.
There is no need to go to the cultural relics area in Wangjiang Park. There are free places to wander around. This place is around Sichuan University and there are many places to eat and play. There is a nice Yage Hotel on Xuefu Road, and there is a place in an alley not far away that buys dry pots (you can’t take them away, but the taste is very good). The nearby Hejiang Pavilion is a place where Chengdu people go through when getting married. It is also a typical building in Chengdu, including a covered bridge.
***** Recommendation: Go to Hejiang Pavilion in the morning, then to Wangjiang, go to Wenshu Monastery for tea in the afternoon, and Wenshu Fang in the evening should also be good. In order to facilitate your trip the next day, you can find a hotel in Xinnanmen.
7. Spend 2 days in Leshan and Emeishan. Depart from Xinnanmen Bus Station, go to Leshan, see the Giant Buddha, eat local Zhongba Tofu (near the pier) for lunch, go to Mount Emei in the afternoon, have barbecue in Emei County in the evening, stay at the guest house inside Southwest Jiaotong University, and go see Haodi in the evening The shuttle bus to Jinding takes two days. The next day we went to Jinding, walked around Wannian Temple and Qingyin Pavilion at noon, and came back to see Baoguo Temple. Take a car along the road and walk slowly for 2 hours from Wannian Temple to Qingyin Pavilion. There are Mount Emei macaques near Qingyin Pavilion. It’s basically after 5 or 6 pm when we return to Baoguo Temple. We have a quick look around and then take the bus back to Chengdu.
The above is almost a 5-day trip to Chengdu, and the cost is estimated to be 1,500 yuan per person. Tickets for Wuhou Temple, Thatched Cottage, Mount Emei, and Leshan Giant Buddha are relatively expensive. If you have a Panda Gold Card, they seem to be free or half price. If you come on May 12, all attractions are free and you can save a lot of money.
If you have one more day, you can go to Dujiangyan to see the water conservancy project. It is not clear whether it will be opened after the earthquake. In Dujiangyan, there is a Bangbang Chicken at the corner of the small street from the commercial street to Nanqiao. It is absolutely authentic and delicious! The Shuangqiao Restaurant and Palm Chicken in the urban area of ??Dujiangyan, as well as the Liang Chicken and Luo Chicken on Qingcheng Mountain Road (it is recommended to go to the one in the Golden Triangle, there are many cars at the door and many police officers eat there) are all delicious. You can go and see Qingcheng Mountain. It is a typical Taoist cultural place. You can experience the meaning of "Tao follows nature" there. All roadside pavilions in Qingcheng Mountain are made of pure nature, with tree bark as canopy, tree trunks as pillars, and rattan. It's fun to decorate.
Other tourist attractions in Chengdu:
Jinsha (not interesting, locals will not go to see it)
Yongling (basically no tourists, there in the afternoon Drinking tea is okay)
Sansheng Township Farmhouse (a place for locals to relax, no special features)
Xindu Guihu Lake and Baoguang Temple (it doesn’t seem that interesting, but it’s okay Go and see)
Panda Base (You can go and see giant pandas with your children)
Dasi Temple (if you are a believer, you can go and see it. It was very grand in the Tang Dynasty, and now it is Ruined, legend has it that Tang Monk came)
Huanglongxi. Pingle, Xilai (ancient town in western Sichuan)
Anren (Liu Wencai’s home)
Luodai ( Hakka Culture Ancient Town)
There are many ancient towns, but they are not interesting anymore. There are many mountains and rivers around, including famous mountains (producing tea), Tiantai Mountain, Zhougong Mountain (hot springs), Xiling Snow Mountain (where Tan Dong is on duty, the Yin and Yang Realm above is distinctive), Longquan Mountain (farmhouses and fruits), Siguniang Mountain ( See the red leaves and Tibetan and Qiang culture), Yinchanggou and Longchi (destroyed by the earthquake) and so on.
When you come to Chengdu to play, it is best to develop a theme, otherwise it will be confusing and boring. For example: Exploring Shu Culture, Tianfu Food Tour, Sichuan Splendid River and Mountain Tour, Sichuan Buddhist Culture Tour, Revealing the Secret of the Origin of Taoism, Rongcheng Beauties Searching for Beauty, etc. Haha,,, you can basically see beautiful women in bars in Chengdu, and the bars in Chengdu also have their own characteristics. , mainly by the river opposite Hejiang Pavilion, outside Baihuatan, Yulin Community, Jinli and Shuadu, etc. Of course, there are also beauties in bustling areas, such as around Chunxi Road, Yulin West Road (where you buy clothes), and Zijin (where you also buy clothes). Nowadays, it is rare to see beauties during the day, so it is recommended to go out and see them at night.
