What is wild black tea?
Wild black tea belongs to fermented tea. It is made from fresh leaves of Yunnan big-leaf wild ancient tea tree by primary wilting, rolling, fermentation and drying. The process of putting fresh and delicate tea leaves collected from ancient tea trees on ventilated bamboo curtains to emit water is called withering. When the water dissipates to a certain extent and the tea leaves become loose, they are put into a rib kneader for kneading, so that the tea juice is kneaded and the tea leaves become strips. The kneaded tea leaves are put in a wooden pallet. Under suitable temperature and humidity conditions, tea leaves gradually turn red, emitting a unique fragrance. At this time, when the tea leaves are dried in the dryer to be kneaded into powder, the wild black tea is made!
Yunnan is rich in tea resources, which is the earliest and most widely distributed province in China. Wild black tea is mainly produced in more than 20 counties in 6 prefectures along the Lancang River in Yunnan, including Lincang, Baoshan, Simao, Xishuangbanna, Dehong and Honghe. There are no four seasons in Yunnan province, which is very different from the 24 solar terms in the south of the Yangtze River.
