A trip to Tayun Mountain

The weekend trip to Tayun Mountain was full of surprises.

We planned to stay in Zhen'an County on the day of our departure on Saturday. We searched for county-specific hotels on Ctrip and found Zhen'an Jintai Academy.Lanyin Hotel, so we went there because it was newly opened in 2019, and the overall design and facilities are great. The facilities always felt like there was something missing, which didn't make us want to stay. Like my husband, we felt cold and without warmth, so we returned to the Luyuan Hotel where we had stayed before in Zhashui.

After checking in, the front desk lady told us that there is a sea of ??flowers in the botanical garden on the hillside opposite the hotel.

After walking for less than 10 minutes, we came to the Botanical Garden. It was a vast sea of ??purple flowers. Judging from the layout, it should have been a golf course attached to the hotel. Now it is all planted with lavender, blue sky, White clouds, sea of ??purple flowers, golden sunset...my heart instantly became peaceful.

After breakfast at the hotel early in the morning, we set off to Tayun Mountain. The estimated time is one and a half hours. Because I was in a happy mood and chatted with my husband, Xiaodu reminded us that we missed the expressway at the Zhen'an exit. The next exit is at 25 kilometers, and the round trip takes 50 kilometers. It takes another one and a half hours to reach the destination. My husband and I's emotions were not affected at all, we just wanted to see more of the scenery along the way.

We found a rather special B&B on the way, so we turned in a different direction to have a look.

There is such a delicious homestay in this deep mountain and old forest, which makes us excited as if we have discovered a new world. The most amazing thing is that there is also a coffee house, and it is the kind that uses freshly ground coffee beans, so To experience it first, I ordered a cup of cappuccino and latte. The taste of the coffee was a little disappointing, but being in this paradise made up for these shortcomings.

After all these little surprises, we finally arrived at the biggest surprise today - Tayun Mountain. The beauty of Tayun Mountain in autumn makes people doubt the reality of all this, or maybe we have fallen into a dream...

We reached the highest peak at 1665.8 meters.

Tayun Mountain is located 35 kilometers southwest of Zhen'an County, with an altitude of 1,665.8 meters. It is a famous Taoist mountain and is known as "the golden top tattoos the sky, and the sea of ??pine trees and mist". The ancient Taoist building complex was built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty (1505-1521).
