What are the tourist attractions in Chaoyang District, Beijing?
National indoor stadium
Aspect: Located in the Olympic Park, with a total construction area of 80,900 square meters, it can accommodate 1.8 million people. During the Olympic Games, it mainly undertakes competitive gymnastics, trampoline and handball. After the Olympic Games, the National Gymnasium, as a first-class sports facility in Beijing, will become a civic activity center providing multi-functional services.
The National Gymnasium is located in the south of the central area of the Olympic Park, adjacent to the Bird's Nest, the Water Cube and the National Convention Center. Because competition venues and venues have different requirements for space height, inspired by China's "folding fan", the National Gymnasium adopts a wave-like shape from south to north, with a light and dynamic roof. This wave shape also skillfully connects the National Convention Center with the flat-topped "Water Cube" and the single curve corresponding to the north and south, so that the urban landscape in the Olympic Park is harmonious and unified.
The steel roof truss of National Gymnasium is144m long from north to south and114m wide from east to west. The whole gymnasium steel roof truss project consists of 14 trusses, and the total steel consumption is 2800 tons. The shape of steel roof truss is fan-shaped wave curve, which is the largest bidirectional string-tensioned steel roof truss structure system in China at present.
