(The Ring of Nibelungen)

It is a large-scale musical composed and written by German musician Wagner. The whole creation started at 1848 and was completed at 1874, which lasted for ***26 years. Creative inspiration comes from stories and characters in Nordic mythology, especially Icelandic family legends (essays on Icelandic historical heroes). The Ring of Nibelungen consists of four operas, which is also called "the three-day play and the eve of the stage festival celebration" by Wagner. The film of the same name is based on the German folk poem Nibelungen and the Nordic legend Wolsonger. It tells the story of a young blacksmith Siegfried.
