Huangshan 2-3 day tour route and accommodation guide

Huangshan Mountain is a very mysterious natural mountain with complex geographical environment and steep terrain. It also retains the Huizhou architectural style and Huizhou culture of the ancient town, making it a rare tourist attraction. Here I would like to share with you the detailed travel routes and accommodation guide for Huangshan.

What the Christian Friends call Sunday

When you arrive in Huangshan, you can live in Tangkou Town, not far from Nanshan Gate. In the afternoon, you can go shopping in Hongcun or Xidi, an ancient town in Huizhou.

The next day

Take a bus from the south gate of Huangshan Mountain to Qianshan Ciguang Pavilion and take a cable car to Yuping Tower. There are relatively few tourists queuing up for the Qianshan cable car. First, visit the Welcome Pine. As for Tiandu Peak, due to the steep mountain road, it is not recommended for the elderly to go. Climb the mountain to meet the pine trees, walk through the hundred-step ladder, and reach Guangming Peak from Aoyu Peak.

You can stay overnight at Guangmingding Villa. It takes a lot of physical strength to go from near Aoyu Peak to Guangmingding, but there are regular skating services along the way. If the elderly have limited physical strength, they can take the slide directly to Guangmingding Mountain. Currently, only Qianshan in Huangshan has sliding bar services.

Rest at Guangmingding at noon and go to the West Sea Grand Canyon in the afternoon. The Xihai Grand Canyon also requires high physical strength, but you can choose to take the cable car up and down without having to climb too much. Return to the top of the lamp in the evening to watch the sunset.

The third day

In the morning, you can watch the sunrise at Guangming Peak, and then visit some scenic spots, such as Feilaishi and Houshan Peak, Gabi Peak, Monkey Watching the Sea, and Shixinfeng wait. In the afternoon, you can take the cable car down from Baieling. The mountain road from Guangmingding to Houshan is relatively flat, and most of it is downhill stairs. Elderly people can walk slowly.

With the help of cable cars and sliding poles, try to take flat or downhill mountain roads throughout the journey to consume the least amount of energy.

Look carefully at the map. The hotels near Paiyun Tower have the best location because they are in the middle. You won’t be tired when you go to Paiyun Pagoda on the first day, and you won’t take the same route when you go to Xihai Grand Canyon on the second day.

You can read my Weibo article, Huangshan Guide, Notes, which is very comprehensive, because along the way, we walked around the West Sea Grand Canyon, which was flashy and chaotic, and there were two classic routes.
