The Natural Environment of Pubei County

Pubei belongs to the southwest edge of Liuwanshan uplift. Affected by the late Indosinian tectonic movement, a large number of magma intruded, forming a pattern occupied by granite bodies. Only a few Paleozoic strata and Cenozoic strata remain in the northwest and south of the county. According to the investigation results of Guangxi Third Geological Team 1977, the whole county is basically divided into two geological areas: (1) Huang Zhang and the cordierite biotite granite area north of Dacheng. (2) South of Huang Zhang and Dacheng are sandstone, shale with sandstone and conglomerate geological areas. Granite accounts for 85.2% of the county area, sand shale and conglomerate account for 12.83%, red soil accounts for 1.57%, and limestone mixed with dolomite accounts for 0.4%.

The landform of Pubei County is dominated by hills. Because there are 60,000 mountains in the northeast, Goutouzhang Mountain in the middle, Sizhou Mountain and Wuhuangling Mountain in the west, it forms a watershed from Xijiang River in the north to Nanliu River in the south. The watershed starts from the junction of Yi and Baihua in Liu Long Township in the east, passes through Layaling at the junction of Jiangcheng Township and Bobai County in the southwest, turns to Goutouzhang at the junction of Wang Fu Township and Guandong Township in the northwest, and then turns to Tongluo Mountain at the junction of Wang Fu and Lingshan in the northwest. The county is high in the middle and low in the north and south. From the middle watershed, it inclines to the south and north respectively, but the north is high and the south is low, the north inclines from east to west and the south inclines from west to east. North-south flow direction of water system. Pubei is located in the low latitude area, with strong solar radiation, abundant sunshine, warm climate, abundant heat and rainfall, and it belongs to the south subtropical monsoon climate zone. According to the statistics of county meteorological station 1957 to 1990, the annual average temperature is 2 1.59℃, the total accumulated temperature is 7862.6℃, the annual average rainfall is 1763 mm, and the annual sunshine hours are163/kloc-.
