According to the government policy, the first phase (April1-June 30th) will be open to the public in Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga, Pattaya and Chiang Mai.

Although the vaccinated tourists only need to be quarantined for 7 days, the survey found that the vaccinated tourists still hope to come to Thailand without quarantine at all, so it is expected that there will not be too many foreign tourists in the first phase.

On April 3rd, a Thai Airways flight from Frankfurt will enter Phuket (and then fly to Bangkok), 12 tourists will enter Phuket Airport. Now the policy has just been implemented. Although there are not many tourists, it is a good vision for revitalizing the tourism economy, because inbound tourists have great potential.

According to a local tourist in Phuket, although the quarantine period has been shortened to 7 days, it still cannot meet the needs of tourists, because inbound tourists who have been vaccinated do not need quarantine.

At present, the policy is not helpful to the tourism industry, but only a market test. When Phuket opened its doors to tourists who don't need to be isolated on July 1 day, it was estimated that more than 70% people in Phuket should have been vaccinated.

In addition, on March 30th, opal, director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, revealed that since April 1 day, the quarantine period for people entering Thailand from various countries has been shortened to 10 day, but people (regardless of nationality) entering from South African countries where mutated viruses have been found still need to be quarantined for 14 days.
