Introduction of Banff National Park in Canada

Banff National Park is located in the northern section of the Rocky Mountains about110-180km west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The park covers an area of 664 1 km2. The main attractions are Lake Louise and Lake Menglian. There are modern hotels, motels and campsites in the forest in the park. There is also a suspended cableway in the high mountain, which runs from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain.

The vegetation in the park mainly includes mountain coniferous forest, subalpine coniferous forest, Douglas fir and spruce. There are more than 500 kinds of flowering plants. The main animals are brown bear, American black bear, deer, moose, wild sheep and rare mountain lion, leopard, bighorn goat, porcupine, lynx and so on.

The Castle Hotel on Lake Louis, with its beautiful lakes and mountains, antique design and splendid interior furnishings, attracts tourists to stay and visit. Banff town has an art center and a museum. Every summer, many Indians set up tents and stages here, put on national costumes and perform distinctive national songs and dances for tourists. Near the entrance of the park, there is a China Ridge, which is said to be named after a large number of Americans lived here in North China in the19th century.
