The place name of Malan Shaanxi, the mountain near Malan, is also called Malan Mountain. It is located in Malan Town, Xunyi County, Shaanxi Province, bordering Huangling County, Shaanxi Province in the east and Zhengning County, Gansu Province in the west, belonging to the south-central Ziwuling of Qiao Shan Mountain range. The former site of Malan Red Revolution is a key cultural relic protection unit in Shaanxi Province. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, Malan was the center of the revolutionary base in the Shaanxi-Gansu border area and one of the important activity areas where the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants and the Shaanxi-Gansu guerrillas were stationed and operated.

The place name Malanshan in Kaifu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province refers to a large area radiated around the intersection of Wanjiali North Road and Sanyi Avenue. Malan Mountain is one of the important place names in Changsha. It was originally a branch of Malanshan, a state-owned comprehensive farm in Changsha, covering an area of 4 square kilometers. Evergrande Garden is adjacent to Puyuan Road in the south and the window of the world in the east. Underwater World and Jinxiu Road are adjacent to Changsha County. Malanshan is a place name in Dianxia Town, fuding city, Fujian. 1In April, 987, the Fujian Provincial Archaeological Team made an investigation on Malan Mountain in the second national cultural relics survey, and concluded that Malan Mountain belongs to the Neolithic site. 1991March 20th, Malanshan site was upgraded to a cultural relic protection unit in Fujian province.
