I have been to Jianfengling many times, and it is recommended to live in Jianfengling Town. The room rate for a double room is about 60-100 yuan. It is much more expensive in the mountains and students cannot afford it. It is one kilometer from Jianfeng Town to the gate of the scenic spot, 18 kilometers from the gate to Tianchi, and about the same distance from the gate to the Jianfengling hiking point. There are two roads, and the entrance fee is 40 yuan per person. The main scenic spots are Tianchi, Mingfeng Valley, Peach Blossom Spring, and Rainforest Valley (10 kilometers away from Tianchi). However, it is best to have your own car for these. There are no tour buses in the scenic area, so it is very unreliable to visit on foot. I always travel by car.
