Zhang Daqian was born in the suburbs of Neijiang County, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province (now Dongxing District, Neijiang City); but this place is now under the jurisdiction of the Central District of Neijiang City, and the current place name of Zhang Daqian’s birthplace is Chengxi, Shizhong District, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province There is a small place named Banpojing on the lower side of the large ladder sill on Park Street of the Subdistrict Office.
In the past, there was no Neijiang City Central District, only Neijiang County. Shizhong District was separated from Neijiang County after the founding of the People's Republic of China. In 1989, Neijiang County was removed from the county to build a district and was renamed Dongxing District.
The Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall is located on Dome Mountain, Dongtong Road, Dongxing District, Neijiang City.
