Winter vacation life tabloid - Songjiang Travel Notes
1
Early in the morning on the third day of the Lunar New Year, my father drove his grandparents, 3-year-old brother An An and Together we went to Songjiang, which is known as the “Root of Shanghai”.
More than an hour later, we arrived at the New Salon International Hotel at No. 1501 Meijiabang Road, Songjiang District.
The hotel is surrounded by roads, and the smooth roads are full of busy people. Although it is the Spring Festival, people are still busy as usual.
The whole hotel is earthy yellow, and when you touch the walls, you can tell that the hotel is made of marble blocks. The marble felt smooth, but cold.
Looking up, there are three flags planted above this hotel, one is from China, and the other is from Japan. Which country does the last flag belong to? I don't recognize it.
After taking a short rest in the guest room, we set off for Thames Town.
The houses in Thames Town are all British-style, and most of them are villas: dark yellow walls, bright windows, and curved cyan railings. There is a British atmosphere everywhere, it is simply immersive.
It was winter, and there were no people on the road except for security guards and a small number of pedestrians. Dad said: "In such a cold weather, people may be hiding at home and refusing to come out."
We arrived at the Songjiang Art Museum and felt very peaceful as soon as we entered. Beautiful oil paintings are placed every half meter on the walls of the spacious exhibition room. Some oil paintings are large and some are small; some are clear and some are blurry; some describe people and some describe scenery.
But the whole characteristic is that you have to look at it from a distance. Looking at it at a distance is very different from looking at it up close.
Each painting is like a photo. The pictures are more depicting the scenery of the countryside and the scenery of the fields. How superb and lifelike!
Upstairs, neatly hung are the powerful calligraphy of calligraphers from ancient times to the present. Some are in small seal script, which looks very ancient; some are in block letters, which look very powerful; some are poems, and some are prose describing buildings.
My father said that you must read these words from top to bottom in order to understand them. Some characters are in traditional Chinese and must be read carefully to understand.
After visiting the art museum, we saw the statue of "Harry Potter - You Can't Escape from My Palm", the sparkling lake and other interesting places around us.
This is our day in Songjiang. This day has been fulfilling, interesting and happy!
Two
The next day, we learned in the news that various tropical orchids were on display in the Chenshan Botanical Garden, and it was not far from the hotel, so we planned to go there.
When I arrived at the botanical garden, I couldn’t believe my eyes: Where is this botanical garden in front of me? It's just that there is a large mountain plain. Although it is not very high, at least it is exaggerated to say that it is only three feet and three feet from the sky.
Walking into the botanical garden, looking around, the winding path leads straight ahead. There are tall trees planted on the roadside. If it were not for winter, they would be lush.
The botanical garden is really big, and there are many varieties of plants in it. Sometimes they are aquatic plants, sometimes they are greenhouse plants.
Not far away, there are two raised glass greenhouses, which contain tropical and unusual plants, most of which are orchids. There are white peacocks set up with butterfly flowers, which are lifelike; there are tall and towering, but extremely poisonous poisonous curare trees; there are golden amber cactus with many sharp spikes; there are pink and extremely fragrant, The national flower of the Netherlands - the tulip.
Because it is relatively close to Hongqiao Airport, I found that 16 planes flew continuously over the Botanical Garden one day.
Anyway, my day at the Botanical Garden made me forget to leave!
In the evening, we found a restaurant called "Shangougou Local Restaurant" on the street, and we ate there. In order to save money, grandma asked dad to order less meat dishes. Dad agreed, so he ordered beans and eggplant, stewed eggs in water, dried Maqiao fragrant, pumpkin in water, preserved eggs, three liang of shrimps, and egg fried rice.
I like to eat braised beans and eggplant the most, because it has a perfect color, aroma and taste. It is smooth in the mouth and has a hint of sweetness. It’s best mixed with egg fried rice!
Because we have to go to the Square Tower tomorrow, we changed to a hotel very close to the Square Tower (just 5 minutes away) in the old town of Songjiang - Days Inn Songjiang Red Building. . One thing I find strange is that on the roadside hotel sign, Daisi is translated into English as "days"! What's going on?
The bed in this hotel is huge, and the room is also large. It is spacious and has a good view. Because this year is the Year of the Dragon, which is my zodiac year, so my father chose a high floor for me - the 13th floor. . I heard that those born in the year of dragon should live higher.
Here, I remembered another thing that impressed me deeply, which happened on the night of the 26th——
Three
That night , we came out of the Shangougou local restaurant. Dad drove us to the north of the hotel, which is the side entrance.
"You can go back by yourselves. I will take An An away first." Dad said to my grandparents and me.
We walked straight forward accompanied by the moonlight lamp.
But it was dark ahead, and we felt something was wrong, so we found a security guard at the nearest place and asked him where to get to the 13th floor.
Security. I was right. He answered our questions enthusiastically and pointed to a safety exit nearby, meaning: Just get on the elevator from here.
We walked in carefully and found a small lamp above our head, and pieces of wood scattered around. Two or three meters ahead is a red fire extinguisher with the word "firehydrant" engraved on it. Turn left, there is a broom, and in front of you is a dilapidated elevator.
My grandma and I walked into the elevator first and found that a large piece of paint on the floor was damaged and turned into the shape of a hippopotamus. After grandpa entered, the elevator door could not be closed, which really shocked us.
After getting out of the elevator, we came to the familiar carpeted corridor in the hotel. But I found something was wrong, because there used to be an elevator here, but now it seems there is no elevator. I thought: I won’t “hit a ghost” again, right?
But grandma didn’t believe it: “This is our room, yes!” Seeing grandma so sure, grandpa said: “That’s not right, there doesn’t seem to be a pot of flowers at the door of our room, and there doesn’t seem to be a wall. Where is it?"
Everyone argued for a long time before finally agreeing to go downstairs again.
Let me say this: Even to death, I would never dare to take that "old-fashioned" elevator again!
Immediately afterwards, the security guard told us that he had just seen a big man (my father) holding a child and walking away from there.
So, we found our father and found out that grandma was right. Well, okay, it was just a false alarm!
IV
The next day, we woke up very early, and even Brother An An, who has always been known as the "lazy man", made an exception and woke up before us.
We packed our luggage and prepared to have breakfast in the lobby.
After passing through a carpeted corridor, we came to a quite quiet place to have breakfast and dinner. On the innermost wall of the buffet area, there are several large characters of "Happy New Year" cut out of colored paper hanging high. They are decorated just right and are very beautiful.
I secretly thought: It would look better if the word "fast" could be slanted downwards!
It’s also like “God is not as good as man.” Halfway through the meal, the transparent tape with the word “kuai” on it suddenly came loose, and the word “kuai” happened to be in the ideal position I thought of. What a coincidence!
After dinner, we came to the scenic spot with the golden characters of "Fangta Park" engraved on it.
From a distance, you can see the square tower standing in the park. Although it does not reach deep into the sky, it can indeed be said to be majestic. That's what it looks like from a distance.
Through the rugged trail, we first came to Chen Huacheng Temple, which was inscribed with "People's Hero Chen Huacheng Historical Archives".
The Chen Huacheng Temple was moved here from Zhongshan Road and was built during the Ming Dynasty. Although I don't know Chen Huacheng very well, seeing the words "People's Hero" made me admire him a little, and I spontaneously grew up with him.
Soon after, after visiting several scenic spots on the road, we came to the square tower in the center of the park.
There are nine floors in the square tower. The top of each floor is made of mahogany. The top spire is like a hat or a sword.
Behind the square tower, there is a wall. Moss has grown on the wall, which looks like it has been there for a long time. Behind the wall is a small pool, which is deeper and contains several potted plants made of porcelain.
Dad took many photos of us along the way as a souvenir.
When we arrived at Tianfei Palace, we bought a few sticks of incense. We could go there to burn incense for peace.
I heard that once upon a time there was a girl who lost her parents, so she burned incense and worshiped Buddha every day. The gods in the sky were very moved, so they named her the Concubine of Heaven. From then on, people came to Tianfei Palace every year to burn incense in order to pray for peace and tranquility in the new year.
I hope that my whole family will be happy and safe, that my grandma will recover from her illness soon, that the earth will become more beautiful and the environment will be better in 2012, and that it will never be destroyed.
The three-day journey ended quickly and passed, but what will never go away are the beautiful memories Songjiang left for me.
