Traveling to Guilin has always been a top priority for many China tourists, and many foreign tourists came here a few years ago.

No matter which season, Xingping is a popular starting point for Lijiang River tour. Take a boat all the way back to the river from the pier, enjoy the 20 yuan background map, nine horses painting mountains and other landscapes, and feel that people have become a part of ink painting. After visiting Lijiang River and Xingping Ancient Town, the trip is perfect.

Although Xingping Wharf is full of tourists, few people know about Laozhai Mountain nearby.

The entrance of Laozhai Mountain is hidden in an obscure corner near Xingping Wharf. There is an inn at the foot of the mountain. It is said that it was opened by a Japanese before. It was he who raised funds and contributed to the construction of the mountain road in Laozhai Mountain, which once touched a group of donkey friends.

Because Guilin is densely forested, rainy and foggy, the mountain roads in Laozhai Mountain are quite wet, at least in spring and summer. Walking on a quiet mountain road, I feel moisture in the air. The branches and leaves of trees block the sunshine, and even in summer when the temperature is high, there is no feeling of sultry weather in the mountains.

There are pavilions in the middle of Laozhai Mountain, where you can rest and enjoy the scenery. However, the trees next to the pavilion are lush, which blocks the line of sight to some extent. If you want to enjoy the scenery of the Lijiang River better, you must continue to climb. I have been to Laozhai Mountain once before, and the valley is misty, with broad vision, atmosphere, shock, aestheticism and dream. I haven't forgotten it for a long time, so when I come to Guilin again, I decided to go again.

Due to the high humidity and few tourists, the stone benches and tables on the way are covered with thick moss, and the stones on the hillside are dyed green by various mosses.

At first, the mountain road was relatively flat. Although it fluctuates because of the winding mountain, it does not cost too much physical strength and is not thrilling. After climbing two thirds, the stone steps became steeper and steeper. In several places, we had to bend down and walk carefully. At the top of the mountain, there was a small iron ladder with an inclination of 70-80 degrees, so we had to fasten our backpacks and hold on to the handrails. Fortunately, this "thrilling" ladder is very short. However, if it rains, or the stone steps and iron ladders in Chu Qing are a little wet after the rain, it is not recommended to climb the mountain at this time, which is also the reason why tourists in Laozhai Mountain have been scarce. At least for safety reasons, the tour group will not come here.

After a period of climbing, I finally reached the top of Laozhai Mountain, standing on the stone at the top of the mountain, or squatting in the notch of the stone, facing the river wind and looking at the mountains, which was ups and downs, especially with a sense of hierarchy.

Guilin's low latitude is not a good place to enjoy autumn colors, but you can still see a few shades of red on Laozhai Mountain.

Smoke permeates the riverside, valleys and hills, and the Lijiang River dances like a graceful girl, drawing a big bend between the valleys, with long sleeves extending to both sides indefinitely.

This kind of scenery is not as good as painting. It is really "infinite scenery with dangerous peaks."
