What's the latest time for the hotel to check out?

The state does not expressly stipulate when the hotel will check out at the latest.

According to the general practice, the check-in time is after noon 12, and the check-out time is before noon 12. If the check-out is delayed until 6 or 8 o'clock, there will be a half-day room charge (according to different hotel regulations).

So one day is counted from 8: 00 am to 12: 00 am, and one day is counted from 12: 00 am to 12: 00 pm the next day. So, under normal circumstances, you will be charged for two days. If you have negotiated with the hotel before or have a discount, it is another matter.

Industry norms:

According to Article 10 of Chapter 3 of China Tourist Hotel Industry Code, hotel room charges are based on "room/night" (excluding hourly rooms). Charge one day's room rate according to the "room/night" where the guests stay; If you check out after 12 o'clock and before 18 o'clock the next day, the hotel can add half a day's room charge; If you check out after the next day 18, the hotel can add one day's room charge.

After this "regulation" was implemented in the hotel industry, consumers questioned it. In recent years, many departments have called for the abolition of this "regulation".

In 2009, China Tourist Hotel Association deleted the provision of "Check out at 12 o'clock, charge half-day room rate after 12 o'clock, and charge 1 day room rate after 18 o'clock" in China Tourist Hotel Industry Code (revised by China Tourist Hotel Association in August 2009).

Instead, Article 10 of Chapter III is changed to: "The hotel shall clearly indicate the settlement method of room price and accommodation time in a prominent position in the lobby, or confirm that the above information has been informed to the guests in an appropriate way."
