What is Utopia? What do you mean now?

Utopia is the immortal masterpiece of British utopian socialist Thomas Moore. It is written in Latin, and the full name of the book is "The Golden Book of Perfect State System and Utopian New Islands". This book was written in Latin during his trip to Europe in151516. The word Utopia originally came from two Greek roots. Ou means "nothing" (one means "good"), and topos means "place", which together is "utopia".

Moore's own utopia is a completely rational Republic. The book describes a beautiful society he envisioned. All the means of production are owned by the whole people, and daily necessities are distributed according to their needs. Everyone is engaged in productive labor and has a lot of time for scientific research and entertainment. There are no hotels, brothels, depravity and sin here. During the war, it hired mercenaries from neighboring belligerents instead of using its own citizens. Moore himself is a man of firm belief. He once wanted to be a priest, and his novels may have been influenced by the Jesuits.

The meaning of now:

Today's utopia often has a broader meaning. Generally used to describe any imaginary ideal society. Sometimes it is also used to describe the attempt to turn some theories into reality in today's society. Utopia is often used to express some beautiful but impossible (or almost impossible) suggestions, wishes, plans, etc.
