4. Pingbiling Ancient Road

brief introduction

Pingbiling Ancient Road starts from Jiao Ling Formation in Tian Li Village, Wangcun Town, Xiuning County in the north, passes through Pingbiling (also known as "bran ridge") and reaches Tangku Formation in Tuochuan Township, Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province in the south. The existing ancient road is about 10 km long, with a flat road surface and a width of five feet, all paved with bluestone slabs. There are five pavilions along the way (Lengshui Pavilion, Lingtou Pavilion, Shiting Tea Pavilion, Piji Waist Pavilion and Bridge Crossing Pavilion) for pedestrians to rest. Lingtou Pavilion and Shiting Tea Pavilion in Pingbi collapsed, the gable site is still there today, and the other three pavilions are well restored.
