The history of the development and construction of Shihuajian Community:

Shihuajian Community is a typical work unit community located in the south of Nanwang Town, Linzi District, Zibo City, Shandong Province. In the early 1970s, it was adjacent to Qilu Petrochemical Rubber Factory. It is the base living area of ??the Tenth Construction Company of Sinopec Group, covering an area of ??1.65 million square meters, with more than 4,800 residents and a population of 12,354. (2007)

The Tenth Construction Company of Sinopec Group is a comprehensive large-scale construction enterprise directly affiliated to Sinopec Group. It has been renamed Shandong Chemical Petroleum Construction Company and the Tenth Chemical Construction Company of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. It has successively completed the construction of more than 300 large and medium-sized projects in domestic and foreign industries such as oil refining, chemical industry, electric power, medicine, light industry, municipal administration, and environmental protection. It has won many honorary titles issued by the country, the Ministry of Construction, and Shandong Province.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, in order to build Shandong Shengli Petrochemical General Plant (now Qilu Petrochemical Company), the predecessor of the Tenth Company, Shandong Chemical Petroleum Construction Company, was located in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. The former Second Chemical Construction Company of the Ministry of Chemical Industry was separated and moved to this place in October 1970.

(1) Housing construction. When the company first moved from Shanxi to Shandong, it had more than 1,800 employees, and the planned living base was still a mess of graveyards. At that time, a large number of employees lived in various workshops of the Shengli Synthetic Ammonia Plant (now Qilu Petrochemical No. 1 Fertilizer Plant) under construction. Later, more than 200 dual-employee households moved into a "linoleum paper house" left behind during the construction of the Shengli Refinery, and the remaining employees lived in 18 villages in five communes, including Nanqiu, Bienhe, Dawu, Xindian, and Wangzhai. Here, they live in thatched huts and sleep on earthen beds. "He is sweating in the summer and shivering in the winter" truly reflects the harsh living conditions at that time.

Due to the country's "third-line construction must be accelerated" and "backing, concealment, and decentralization" principles at that time, Qilu Petrochemical Company (Shandong Shengli Petrochemical General Plant) and No. 10 Company were located in relatively remote mountainous areas. This also had a great impact on future community development and construction. At the end of 1970, the company selected a living base at the foot of Lianhua Mountain on the west bank of the Zihe River and began to build employees' homes on this barren mountain slope. The first family building in the living area (currently Building No. 8 in the construction area) broke ground, kicking off the large-scale construction of the base’s living area. Since then, new family buildings have been built continuously. In 1971, five family buildings were completed and completed. In 1972, eight family buildings were completed, and the living area of ??the base began to take shape. Employees scattered in nearby rural areas happily moved to new homes one after another. By 1984, the company had successively built 31 family buildings and 4 single buildings to complete the construction of living areas. From 1978 to 1984, the company spent 6 years building 15 family buildings, forming the Jianbei Living Area. Since 1985, the company has started the construction of Jiannan Living Area and Jianxi Living Area. Over the past thirty years, the company has built a total of 105 employee family buildings and 4,802 housing units, with a total area of ??330,000 square meters (2007), and the per capita housing area exceeds 15 square meters. The internal structure, facilities, and area of ??housing are also constantly undergoing major changes. From the "small apartment, no living room, and shared toilet" structure built in the 1970s to solve the housing shortage for employees to the "medium-sized apartment, small living room, small kitchen, and small bathroom" structure in the 1980s, it has developed to the current "large-sized apartment" structure. The internal layout of the "well-off-type apartment, large living room, small bedroom, and large bathroom" is becoming more and more reasonable. The internal supporting facilities such as water, electricity, heating, communication closed-circuit television, and sanitary ware are more complete, and the appearance of the house is also more beautiful. Uniform.

(2) Construction of community living infrastructure. For a long time, the company has been entirely responsible for the property management work in the living area of ??the base, including water, electricity and heating. The company's base has a total construction area of ????office area and production facilities of more than 60,000 square meters. The self-provided water, electricity, heating and other energy supporting facilities include 1 6KV switch station and 13 substations with a daily power supply capacity of 100,000 KWH; 4 deep drinking water wells with a daily water supply capacity of 6,000 cubic meters; 7 heating boilers , with a heating capacity of 450,000 square meters.

The company built a staff bath, a cemetery and a liquefied gas station used for daily life in the south of the living area.

(3) Community education construction and development. The company has complete educational hardware facilities. Initially, there were four kindergartens: two in the Jiannan District, one in Jiannan District, and one in Jianbei District. After reconstruction and merger, only one in the Jianbei District remained, with a construction area of ??more than 2,000 square meters; the company's children's school was built at the end of 1970 , the school’s primary school teaching building, middle school teaching building, comprehensive building, laboratory building, and labor and technical teaching building have a total construction area of ??12,500 square meters. In 2001, the high school branch was expanded on the basis of the original technical school; the company’s technical school Built in 1978, it has a construction area of ??4,000 square meters for education, offices, and internships. It has trained a large number of technical workers and managers for the corporate society.

(4) Community medical and health construction. The company's employee hospital was founded in 1971. It has gradually developed from a health station at a construction site to a secondary hospital with a certain scale and relatively complete functions today. After the inpatient building with an investment of more than 7 million yuan and a construction area of ??4,310 square meters was put into use in 1999, the total construction area of ??the company's employee hospital reached more than 12,000 square meters, which significantly improved the medical conditions of employees and their families.

(5) Community business situation. The base's commercial facilities have a construction area of ??2,700 square meters, including a comprehensive shopping mall and a farmer's market. In addition, there are commercial outlets in each living area. The company and local relevant units jointly invested in the construction of the Construction Bank and Posts and Telecommunications Comprehensive Business Building with a construction area of ??1,200 square meters. In addition, the Agricultural Bank of China, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and rural cooperative credit cooperatives have also set up savings offices in living areas.

(6) Community sanitation work. In 1983, a professional greening and sanitation team was established to carry out large-scale comprehensive greening of living areas. After nearly two decades of unremitting efforts, we now have more than 100,000 trees of 80 varieties in 4 categories, more than 100,000 square meters of lawn, and a green area of ??more than 500,000 square meters, accounting for 100% of the greening area. The coverage rate reaches 38%, with 210,000 square meters of public green space, 35 square meters of green space per capita, and more than 1,000 acres of green barren hills; there is 1 open garden covering an area of ??20,000 square meters, and 11 community-specific green spaces and recreational gardens. .

(7) Farm. In the early 1980s, in order to solve the problem of some employees living in two places and the employment problem of their spouses with rural household registration, as well as to resettle some unemployed youths and improve the lives of employees, it was also in line with the national requirements for industrial and mining enterprises to further improve their agricultural and sideline businesses. In response to the call for production, another farm was opened in the south of the living area.

(8) Community cultural and sports construction. Various cultural activities in the community mainly rely on various units such as enterprise party committees and labor unions. The company's basketball games and sports games are held regularly; during the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival, the company and Qilu Petrochemical Rubber Factory jointly organize artistic evenings and fireworks parties, which attract community residents and residents from surrounding areas to watch. Under the guidance of the company, residents established yangko troupes, gong and drum troupes, calligraphy associations and other cultural and sports groups to enrich their spare time life. The company has successively invested in the construction of a workers' club and a staff cultural activity center including a 1,350-square-meter circular ballroom. We have invested in the construction of facilities such as swimming pools, lighted courts, gyms, community gardens, and fitness equipment scattered in various living areas, which basically meet the needs of employees and their families in terms of physical fitness, leisure and entertainment

Since the community residents come from all over the country, coupled with the unique corporate culture, after more than 30 years of exchange and integration, a unique lifestyle and community culture have been formed. Residents have a considerable sense of identity with the environment in which they live and their neighbors. In terms of language, community residents do not speak dialects, but use Mandarin, but they also mix in some vocabulary unique to regional dialects, which is in sharp contrast with surrounding areas (except Qilu Petrochemical).
