Journey to the Secret Land (3) Travel Notes of Lalong, a Holy Land in Tibet
Full name of Larong: Seda Larong Wuming Buddhist College in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. This is one of the important destinations of our pilgrimage to Tibet. This is a holy city of practice and the largest Buddhist college in the world. Buddhists from all over the world come to worship and take root in practice.
1985, King Ruyibao Jinmei Pengcuo, the spiritual leader of Nyingmaba, who helped to pull the tide of modern Tibetan Buddhism, with his fearless wisdom and compassion, vowed to rebuild the excellent Tibetan Buddhist temple that had been completely destroyed in history, and established this Buddhist college with only 30 students in the east of sertar county 15. After more than 30 years of wind and rain, Larong is now a comprehensive Buddhist university with a world-renowned reputation and many monks.
On the morning of June 7th, Manjusri Zenghui Buddhist College in Huoxi town was still bathed in the morning fog, and it was already dawn. Our group set off for Larong Holy Land. It's about15km from Horsey to Laron, and it's half an hour's drive. Because the elevation of the velvet is about 4000 meters, it is a challenge for the partners who first entered Tibet. In order to let everyone have a good sleep, we decided to let everyone go to Huoxi Town to rest for one night. After a night's deep sleep and adaptation, the companions in the same trade were refreshed, got up early and went straight to Larong.
Quiet mountains, roaring rivers and the sound of car engines seem to pave the way for this waking morning. Climb all the way from 3500 meters to 4000 meters. Finally, at six o'clock in the morning, I arrived at the gate of Lalong Wuming Buddhist College. There will be an episode soon, because foreign vehicles are not allowed to enter the mountains during the Buddhist College, but we have brought a lot of materials to the Buddhist College. The Tibetan police on duty are very principled, but they won't let them go. We have no choice but to turn off the fire and wait. Everyone is chanting Master Lian's spell and praying that Master Lian will bless us. After about twenty minutes, I went begging again. The young police officer seemed a little open-minded, and secretly asked me to ask the sheriff who was resting in the duty room. I crustily skin of head went to see the sheriff and explained the reason. The sheriff said, "Well, go back quickly and don't park indiscriminately. The road is being built above, so be safe." We were ecstatic and hurried up the hill. Because on the mountain at an altitude of 4000 meters, if you take the college bus up and down with a lot of materials on your back, everyone will collapse. I am naturally happy to get permission.
Larong Buddhist College consists of five hills, which looks like a lotus flower from the air, just like the five Ming in the university name (technology, declarative linguistics, medical prescription, foreign tomorrow literature, Neiming Buddhism). This is a sacred place given by Master Lotus. Since King Dunzhu I, it has been a paradise for practitioners. There are as many as 13 people who have made achievements in the rainbow body, and eminent monks and great virtues emerge one after another. Since the late 1980s, under the leadership of the first president, King Ruyibao of France, Laron has been greatly promoted.
Larong Buddhist College is built on the mountain. From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, there are Jushilin Buddhist College, Juemu Female Buddhist College, Lama Male Buddhist College and Supreme Tancheng. The winding mountain road slowly sent us to the top of the mountain. The morning is long and the air is full of faith. Red squatters are densely built on the hillside. The yogi who gets up in the morning makes breakfast and does morning classes. Smoke curled up on the house, and the loudspeaker played auspicious lessons. Everything is like heaven. There are also diligent monks who come to the top of the mountain at an altitude of 4 thousand meters and walk around the altar city.
Tancheng is a very important building of Tibetan Buddhism, and it depicts a paradise for practitioners to reach a certain level. The Tancheng of Larong is world-famous. It was designed and built by the French king Ruyibao himself in those days. It is divided into three layers: upper, middle and lower, with infinite treasures, exquisite Buddha statues and countless Guanyin mantra prayer wheels. Believers from all over the world, regardless of sect or race, will come around Tancheng to pray for all beings and themselves. The inferior should turn at least 7 times, the intermediate should turn 108 times, and the superior should turn 1080 times. Every circle has infinite merits. Our party also joined the team around Tancheng. We didn't speak, just recited a spell and looked at our relationship with all beings.
Larong Buddhist College is the largest Tibetan Buddhist university in Tibet and even in the world. Here, practitioners of four sects, namely Nyingmaba, Gruba, Kagyu and Sakya, have been passed down, and all of them studied Buddhism here. After finishing their studies, some of them entered Gexi Kampo and returned to their temples to serve the society. It is worth mentioning that the core building of Larong, Lama Dajingtang, is majestic and magnificent, with Tibetan patio architecture style, spacious square and first-class lighting. The Buddhist temple is resplendent and magnificent, and can accommodate thousands of people for meetings and classes at a time.
Buddhism attaches great importance to precepts, especially in Lajon. Thousands of monks and nuns have strict precepts, and they practice strictly according to the precepts formulated by the Buddha. It was a pleasant surprise to see their busy figures. In order to improve the eating conditions in the plateau, Kampo people of Larong University also do their best to be considerate and altruistic. In recent years, they have built a five-star Larong Hotel, which can receive Buddhists with different requirements from all over the world. The vegetarian buffet on the first floor is colorful and delicious, which is worth your visit.
For thousands of years, the snowy plateau has experienced countless dynasties, but the pure inheritance of Buddhism has not changed. Today, Larong has become a photography paradise and a must-see for unbelievers. It is a sacred secret in the hearts of Buddhists and the first stop of pilgrimage to the snowy plateau. I think this is incredible even as predicted by the master. Iron birds soar, iron horses gallop, and the teachings of monks in red will spread all over the world. As a Buddhist, I am lucky to meet such wonderful Buddhism and holy land in the last days of Dharma. I pray that more people will fall in love with Buddhism and more people will explore their inner world through Buddhism.
Larong, an incredible holy place, comes once in a lifetime.
