Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1
Hong Kong International Airport 1 Terminal was designed by the famous British architect Huo Langming, with a glass curtain wall of 55,000 square meters and a carpet of 1 17000 square meters. Inspired by the concept of flight, the design of the passenger terminal building is Y-shaped, aiming at making it as convenient as possible for passengers, including simple and clear signs, 3 km long escalators, driverless railways and so on. , so that passengers can quickly and conveniently shuttle through the whole building. The design also allows passengers to use different means of transportation to and from the city in the shortest time. Therefore, besides the airport express line, there is also a ground transportation center next to the building, which provides airport bus service, taxi service, hotel car parking and so on. Terminal 1 has been expanded twice. The Northwest Passenger Corridor was opened in June 2000 at 5438+ 10, and the expanded East Lobby was completed in 2004. In addition, the north and south sides of Terminal 1 are reserved for expansion.
In order to comply with the laws of Hong Kong, the unrestricted area of the passenger terminal building has been designated as a no-smoking area since 2007. The passenger terminal building is equipped with assistive facilities for the disabled, which also meets international standards. The free wireless Internet service (Wi-Fi) provided by PCCW covers the entire 1 terminal, and anyone can use it for free. 3/F- Airport ground transportation center (with passenger station, taxi station and hotel station) and parking station;
