Colour the flowers

1. Find three white flowers, chrysanthemum and morning glory.

Carnations or small daisies are suitable. if

Go to the flower shop and look for it. You can usually find it.

2. Think about what color you want to paint the petals.

Think about how many drops of food should be put in each cup.

Use pigments. When we do the experiment, divide it.

Do not try to use 1 drop, 5 drops, 10 drop.

4. Add the same amount of food coloring to each cup or each test tube.

5. Add food pigment to the cup, and each cup should be labeled to indicate the amount of pigment. (At that time, we directly marked 1 drop, 5 drops, 10 drop)

6. Cut off the extra flower stems with scissors, leaving about 13cm long.

7. Put a flower in each cup.

8. Leave the flowers in the water for one night and check them the next morning.

10. Flowers need to absorb water to avoid withering, even cut flowers. Therefore, the flowers in our experiment will absorb water from the cup and transport it along the stem to the petals. Flowers absorb some pigments while absorbing water upwards, and these pigments remain in the petals.
