Can I open a hotel room without an ID card?

A regular hotel can't open a room without my ID card. When staying in a hotel, you must show your valid certificate to register your personal information in the real-name registration system.

Valid certificates include:

(a) China citizens living in China are resident identity cards or temporary resident identity cards;

(2) China citizens under the age of 16 living in China are registered permanent residence books, but minors must be brought by adults when staying in hotels;

(3) Identity documents of soldiers and servicemen of China People's Liberation Army; Identity documents of China People's Armed Police and Armed Police;

(four) Hong Kong and Macao residents, for Hong Kong and Macao residents to and from the mainland pass; Taiwan Province residents, mainland travel permit for taiwan residents or other valid travel documents;

(5) Foreign citizens, passports.

(six) other valid identity documents produced by the public security organs.
