The North Building of Peace Hotel was built at 1929, formerly known as Hua Mao Hotel. It is a Gothic building of Chicago School, 77 meters high, with 12 floors. The hotel is located at the intersection of Nanjing East Road and the Bund in Shanghai. 1929, the Jewish businessman Victor Sassoon conceived and founded a hotel called "Guotai Hotel", which was later the Peace Hotel.
