Evolution of organizational system in Qingyang town

Qingyang has a history of 5000 years of human activities, 2500 years of civilization and written records of 1700 years since ancient times. According to the map of Jiangyin in the Northern Song Dynasty, Qingyang Township has been listed as one of the national 17 townships with a history of thousands of years. The relics are now peaceful and prosperous, and the ancient town of Qingyang is a blessed land. In 2003, a number of precious cultural relics, such as the Sangha relic of Sizhou, were unearthed at the tower foundation of Wukong Temple, which further confirmed the thousand-year history of Qingyang ancient town.

In the 1970s, polished stone tools such as stone knives, brooms, axes and chisels were unearthed in Nanlou Village, and cultural relics belonging to Liangzhu culture such as black pottery and carbonized rice proved that ancestors lived here as early as 5,000 years ago in the Neolithic Age.

According to records, in the second year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (28 1), Jiangyin was set as Jiyang County and Qingyang was located in the south of the county. The existing Song Zhi Tu Quanjing records the establishment of Qingyang Township, which has a history of thousands of years. According to the county annals "Biography of Ge Mi", Ge resigned and returned to the field in the Northern Song Dynasty during the reign of Renzong Zhiping, and lived in Qingyang. Accordingly, Qingyang built a town in Jiangyin County in the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty. By the Ming Dynasty, the town of Qingyang was filled with fireworks, boats were full of troubles and the market was prosperous. In Qing Dynasty, Qingyang Town, together with more than 10 market towns in Jiangyin, Wuxi and Wujin counties, became a link between Jiangsu, Wuxi and Changzhou. Gan Long's "Jiangyin County Records" contains: Qingyang Bridge Fourth Street, the canal winds south, the water is windy, the title and the tail are connected, and the city is close to the county. Every market is a scene where pedestrians on the bridge carry thousands of years and ships under the bridge carry thousands of manuscripts.

In the third year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1664), Jiangyin County was divided into seventeen townships and thirty-six towns. The original Qingyi Township was divided into Qingyi, Sihe and Huangqiao towns. In addition, it also divided the Confucius Temple, Huacun, Wukong, Miao Jing, Nanlouxia, Minjiachang, Baishutou, Chenjiacun, Xiaoqiaotou and Fengge townships in Jinfeng Township.

In the second year of the Republic of China (19 13), Qingyi Town was renamed Xiang. After many changes.

1945, Qingyun Town, Tongdan Town, Tongqi Township, Xiqi Township, Tangtou Township and Sihe Township were established.
