The correct way to walk the Panlong ancient road

You can walk around from Taxian to Panlong Ancient Road, clockwise or counterclockwise, but clockwise is more recommended.

1. To navigate from Ta County to Waqia Township, take a G3 14 road back to Kashgar, turn right at the checkpoint, navigate all the way back to the beautiful Xiabandi Reservoir and some river valley wetlands, and stop to take photos. After crossing Bundhit Aixiang, turn right along the main road, and you will see the sign of Panlong Ancient Road. Just drive ahead. ?

2. Playing clockwise is to drive up the "mountain" of Panlong Ancient Road, and the perspective will be even more shocking. First pass the small Panlong, then pass the big Panlong, finally pass the big board of Uguliyate, and then turn to G3 14 National Road to return to Taxian.

3. The highest altitude during climbing is 4 100 meters. Play clockwise, the height gradually increases, and it is not easy to have high reaction. At the same time, there are many lovely prairie dogs on the highland slopes above 3500 meters.

Characteristics of Panlong Ancient Road

The total length of Panlong Ancient Road is about 80 kilometers, while the real Panlong Ancient Road is only about 30 kilometers. The whole road twists and turns, most of which exceed 180 degrees, and the altitude span drops from 4 100 meters to 3,000 meters, with a total drop of 1 100 meters. In this short span of more than 30 kilometers, there are more than 600 big bends. Driving on such a road, even an old driver will still be filled with emotion and blood boiling.

The most exciting, driving and scenic sections of Panlong Ancient Road are Xiaopanlong and Dapanlong, and Dapanlong is relatively better. Although the curve is very big, it is not dense, and many drivers can easily control it.

The most challenging one is Xiao Panlong. The winding road of Xiaopanlong section is not only big, but also denser than Dapanlong, which makes people dare not be distracted. It's better for old drivers to drive this road.

Whether it's a big Panlong or a small Panlong, there are many landscape platforms along the way, and you can stop and enjoy the winding direction of the ancient Panlong Road.
