Which province and city is Zhanghe located in?

Zhanghe River is located in Changzhi City, Shanxi Province.

The Zhanghe River is a tributary of the Zhangweinan Canal system in the Haihe River Basin in North China. It was called Hengzhang or Hengshui in ancient times. Heng means Heng, which means that the ancient Zhanghe River migrated impermanently, dissipated heat and could not be controlled. Before 8 AD (the end of the Western Han Dynasty), the Zhanghe River belonged to the Yellow River system. Later, due to the southward migration of the Yellow River, it was incorporated into the Haihe River system.

There are two upper sources of the Zhang River: the Qingzhang River and the Zhuozhang River, both of which originate from the hinterland of the Taihang Mountains in southeastern Shanxi Province. The upper reaches of the Qingzhang River are divided into east and west sources. The east source originates near Zhangcao Village, Xiyang County, Jinzhong; the west source originates from Bafuling in the west of Heshun County. The upper reaches of the Zhuozhang River are divided into three sources: north, west and south. The west source originates from Angaoling, Zhangyuan Town, northwest of Qin County; the south source originates from Xifajiu Mountain in Changzi County, southeastern Shanxi; and the north source originates from the northern part of Yushe County Xihekou Village. After the Qingzhang River and Zhuozhang River entered Shexian County, they merged in Hezhang Village and were called Zhang River. After they merged with Wei River, they were called Zhangwei River and Wei Canal, and entered the South Canal of the Haihe River system.
