What are the scenic spots in Xingwen Shihai?

Its geological relics mainly include: Permian geological profile, surface karst topography, sinkholes, caves, cave deposits, waterfalls, dissolved valleys, paleontological fossils, storm rock deposits and so on. The most famous is the sinkhole, which is the place where China first discovered and studied sinkholes.

Xingwen Shihai is located in Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, in the transition zone between Sichuan Basin and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with a total area of about 156 square kilometers. It is a world geopark and a national scenic spot.

Xingwen Shihai World Geopark is located in Xingwen County, southern Sichuan Province, in the mountainous area on the southern edge of Sichuan Basin. It is the Pioneer Mountain and Yun Chuan Mountain at the northern end of Wumeng Mountain, belonging to the transition zone between the southern mountainous area of Sichuan Basin and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The scenic spot is connected to Luzhou in the east, Yibin in the west and Zhuhai in Sichuan in the south. It is one of the most developed karst areas in China.

Geopark includes 4 parks; Xiaoyanwan Geopark, a cave group consisting of more than 200 large and small caves represented by Tian Quan Cave; Wangshan Park, which is famous for its natural ecology, has gathered many geological relics such as canyons, waterfalls, lakes, caves and ancient human sites. Formed in Ordovician 490 million years ago, ancient stone forest, Millennium ginkgo, cave group, bamboo forest and Taian stone forest accompanied; Alsophila spinulosa trees cover Lingxiao City Park and Lingxiaoman Site.
