Does the hotel charge on time?

Yes.

Hotels usually charge by the hour, but they are usually charged by the day, and there are also hourly rates, usually 3 or 4 hours for hourly rooms.

The hotel usually checks in at 12:00 or 14:00. Check-out before 12:00 the next day will be counted as one day. If you check out within 6 hours, you will be charged half a day's room rate. If you check out after 6 hours, you will be charged one day's room rate.
