Summer orange types

1. Fuling summer orange

3. Algeria

Algerian summer orange is an excellent variety of Fuling summer orange buds. Its outstanding features are compact crown, thick branches, rough orange-yellow fruit surface, medium-thick peel and soft flesh. The yield is high and the quality is good. The average yield per plant is 43.3 kilograms, which is higher than the Fulingxia and Fulingxia new strains of the same age.

4. Guixia Orange

Guixia Orange is a late-maturing variety selected from ordinary sweet oranges. It is one of the main late-maturing varieties vigorously promoted in Guangxi. The fruit is round or flat, orange-yellow, with slightly thick skin, crisp and tender flesh, and juicy. In areas with high heat, such as Qinzhou in Guangxi and Zhanjiang in Guangdong, high and stable yields can be achieved. There are fewer fruit drops and cracks in winter, one month earlier than Fuling summer oranges.

5. Australia

Olinda summer orange is native to California, USA, and is bred from the fruit mutation of Fuling summer orange. Introduced to China in 1978, it is now the main summer orange variety in Sichuan, Chongqing and Guangxi. Olinda summer orange juice flavor and average fruit weight are better than Fuling summer orange, and the processed juice quality is superior. It is an excellent late-ripening variety for processed juice.
