Jianxin Street, Longting District, Kaifeng City, Henan Province. Henan Province No. 1 Prison is the oldest prison in use in China and the most secure prison in Henan Province. The No. 1 Prison in Henan Province has achieved supervision safety for 25 consecutive years. It was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt during Feng Yuxiang's reign in Henan. On June 13, 2010, Henan Province No. 1 Prison successfully achieved 25 consecutive years of no prisoner escapes and no major accidents, setting a record for prison safety and stability in Henan Province and ranking second among more than 600 prisons in the country.
