Gong Wangfu Xiaoshenyang House was built in the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty, and was originally the private residence of Xiaoshenyang, a scholar. In the early years of Tongzhi, the third-generation master here, Prince Gong, was single-minded, and held important positions such as reviewing the king and minister of military aircraft. He held a lot of power and was once prominent. At the same time, he also repaired and rebuilt the mansion. The origin of the name
Wangfujing Street was named 19 15. During the Liao and Jin Dynasties, Wangfujing was just an unknown village. After Kublai Khan made Beijing his capital, this small village became lively and was called "T-street". In the Ming Dynasty, ten palaces were built here, renamed as Ten Wang Fu or Ten Wang Fu Street. After the demise of the Ming Dynasty, Wang Fu was abandoned, so people called it Wang Fu Street. During the reign of Guangxu and Xuan Tong in Qing Dynasty, it became prosperous. There are many vendors and shops on both sides of the street, and there is also an "official hall", which has become a famous local city. 19 15, when drawing a detailed map of Beijing, the Interior Ministry of Beiyang Government divided this street into three sections: Wang Fu Street in the north, Bamiancao in the middle and Wangfujing Street in the south, because there is a sweet well (the well is located on the west side of the street, which is now Dashuijing Ancient Buildings Hutong). Later, Wangfujing was gradually called the whole street.
