Laws and regulations of hotel real name registration

Legal analysis: The security law requires real-name registration of hotel accommodation, which is convenient for grasping the information of people staying, cracking down on and preventing fugitive crimes and intercepting wanted suspects.

Legal basis: Article 56 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Public Security Administration Punishment Law. Hotel staff who fail to register the names, types and numbers of identity documents of the guests, or knowingly bring dangerous goods into the hotel without stopping them, shall be fined from 200 yuan to 500 yuan.
