How to take care of fur?

Indoor storage

(1) Don't put fur near the window with strong sunlight. It is best to hang it in a place with dark light, low temperature and humidity and good ventilation. Ensure that there are no hot water pipes or steam pipes near the clothes storage area. Don't forget, fur likes a dry environment.

(2) Leather clothes should be hung on a special hanger with high strength and shoulder width, covered with a silk cover and stored in a well-ventilated wardrobe. The high-strength hanger can keep the collar from falling over the shoulders, the wide shoulders can keep the clothes stiff, and the silk garment cover ensures a good ventilation environment for fur.

(3) space for fur to "breathe". Fur needs a large place to store, and there should be at least 6 cm space between it and other clothes, so that fur can "breathe" freely. Never put fur in a plastic bag or fold it tightly in a suitcase. If the air is not circulated, the fur will be uneven, deformed and even shed.

(4) Don't pollute fur with other chemicals. If moths or other insects disturb your home, don't use pesticides near fur, because it is also fatal to fur. Never store fur coats in a wardrobe made of Chinese fir. Although Chinese fir can repel insects, the smell of fur will make you regret it.

(5) In summer, it is best to give fur to a professional fur shop and put it in a cold storage or in an air-conditioned room at home, so as to avoid the harm of insects and ants under high temperature and high humidity.

Outdoor protection

(1) Fur undoubtedly belongs to winter. When wearing fur clothing, please stay away from heat sources, especially heaters, because dry heat will absorb the quality of fur and make it hard and brittle.

(2) Pay special attention when eating in a restaurant. It is best not to put fur clothes in the cloakroom, because there is too little space there. You can carefully fold the fur and put it on the chair, so that the waiter can wrap it in a big western package instead of hanging it on the hook or shelf casually. Simply put, when eating, fur also needs a place, but it has to stay away from the table.

(3) If you sit in the car or cinema for a long time, you'd better take off your fur coat to avoid crushing it. When folding, be sure to pay attention to the wool facing outwards.

(4) Pay attention to whether the items you carry with you will damage the ring fur. For example, the straps of small bags, especially those with metal chains, will wear fur. If you are a person who often carries a briefcase, please be careful not to let the bag rub the fur for a long time.

(5) There are some details that can't be ignored, such as don't buckle anything on fur, and pay attention to whether the metal on the watch or bracelet will often rub the cuffs of fur clothes.

(6) Wearing a silk scarf can prevent the grease and cosmetics on the skin from contaminating the neckline of leather clothes. If you accidentally leave cosmetics on fur, you must be careful when wiping them off. Usually, it's best to leave furs to professionals.

(7) Never scrape fur with sharp objects, which will do great harm to fur.

(8) Don't spray perfume on fur. Alcohol in perfume can make hair hard and brittle, and its oil sometimes gives off an unpleasant smell.

Don't try to comb your fur with a comb. If the fur is not smooth, curly or knotted, I suggest you send it to a professional department for treatment.

(10) Don't give up wearing fur clothes because of rain and snow. If the fur surface is wet, just grab the armpit of the fur lining, pick it up and shake it a few times, shake off the rain beads on the surface, and then hang it in a dry and cool place to dry naturally. Do not heat, bake or expose to the sun. When it's dry, just pat the fur. If it doesn't look as beautiful as before, you can send it to a professional fur shop for comfort and polishing.
