In the late autumn of the year of Dinghai, four of our colleagues and experts, scholars and colleagues from the legal field across the province gathered in Huangshan City to participate in the "Harmonious Society and Legal Guarantee" forum organized by the Provincial Law Society. After the meeting, everyone made an appointment to participate in the "Huangshan One-Day Tour" activity. In the past few years, we have traveled to Huangshan several times, leaving a series of footprints and beautiful impressions at Baieling, Guangmingding, Xihai, Lianhua Peak and other scenic spots. But I have never been to Tiandu Peak. Unfortunately, there is no content about climbing Tiandu Peak in the "big army" tour. Therefore, we decided to follow the travel agency's bus into the gate of Huangshan and get off at the "Workers Sanatorium" near the Range Rover Bridge to act alone. We all agreed that this time we must see the "true face of Mount Lu" at Tiandu Peak no matter what.

In order to truly experience the feeling of mountaineering and leave some unforgettable memories, we decided not to take the scenic bus or ropeway and start walking up the mountain from the Range Rover Bridge. Along the previous hiking plank road, from Peach Blossom Creek upward, passing through Lianyu Pavilion, swimming pool, sanatorium, and Huilong Bridge, we watched the "Dahaoheshan" stone carvings, herringbone waterfall and other scenic spots while walking. The further we went up, the steeper the slope of the plank road. It was steep. Before we reached Ciguang Pavilion, everyone was panting and sweating profusely. More than half an hour later, we finally arrived at Ciguang Pavilion. We bought the tickets and were ready to climb the mountain but we didn't know the route. When we were hesitating, a local tour guide who specialized in taking individual tourists to the mountains came to us. Taking into account factors such as saving climbing time, making it easier to view scenic spots, and being beneficial to travel safety, we decided to ask the tour guide to lead us up the mountain. After some haggling, we reached an agreement, and the tour guide took us on a journey to climb Tiandu Peak. The tour guide told us that it takes about 2-3 hours to climb Tiandu Peak. Starting from Ciguang Pavilion, we have to pass through Congrong Pavilion, Lima Bridge and Banshan Temple before we can reach the foot of Tiandu Peak. There are two routes to go up the mountain, the south and the north. The mountain is relatively gentle, but the descent is very difficult, which is "easy first and then difficult"; while the mountain on the south road is extremely steep, but the descent is easier, which can be said to be "bitter first and then sweet". The four of us agreed to go up the mountain from the south road to experience the feeling of climbing to the top of Tiandu. It took us more than an hour to get from Ciguang Pavilion to Banshan Temple. At this time, everyone's physical strength has been consumed by more than 40%, and they have to sit down to rest and adjust, eat some dry food they brought, and replenish their physical strength to complete the more difficult climb.

The real climbing begins. The so-called roads are all artificial steps carved out of the steep rock wall. Most of the slopes are between 60 and 70 degrees. The steepest point is about 85 degrees, and almost vertical at nearly 90 degrees. People climbing on it are like geckos clinging to the wall. In the process of climbing, sometimes it is necessary to exert force on both hands and feet at the same time in order to climb a step. Some people joked that we were like "monkeys climbing a tree, using both hands and feet." A colleague has a mild fear of heights and crawls on all fours even on gentler sections of road. There is an old comrade who is over sixty years old in the group. Although his steps are a bit heavy, he is steady and steady, and his climbing speed is even faster than that of young people. The tour guide was jokingly called the "mountain monkey" by us. Even though he was carrying large and small bags for us, he was still able to walk quickly. The climb seemed effortless, and it was simply "better than strolling in the garden." Following the tour guide's warning about "walking without looking at the scenery, and looking at the scenery without walking", we always looked upward and climbed a section of the plank road like a "ladder to heaven" to rest for a while. In the wide terrain, everyone dared to rest and look down the mountain. They saw clouds and mist, and the mountains in the distance were looming. We seemed to be hanging in mid-air, and we really felt like we were floating in heaven. While appreciating and praising the miraculous workmanship of nature to create such beautiful scenery, we are even more amazed by the workers who sincerely build hiking trails on the cliffs for tourists to climb. Without their bravery, courage and wisdom, we would not be able to appreciate this world. Beautiful scenery! Compared with how difficult it was for them to open the way in the first place, what reason do we have to be afraid, fearful and timid when we climb and walk on the path that our predecessors have walked!

After more than three hours of hard work, we finally reached the top of Tiandu. Standing on the top of the mountain, looking to the south, the white sea of ??clouds spreads across an expanse, drifting with the wind and changing in ever-changing ways. It really has the beauty of "like the sea but not the sea, not the sea but like the sea". Turning to the north, the peaks of Lotus Peak and Guangmingding stand face to face, and the strange pines and rocks on the mountain are clearly visible; some other small peaks are shrouded in clouds and mist, like graceful fairies, which is really beautiful. Everyone was extremely excited about the success of climbing to the top. When taking photos, they made various gestures to celebrate the victory and success, expressing their strange mood and the joy of being a conqueror.

An amateur writer who was traveling with me loudly recited the poem "When you stand at the top of the mountain, you can see all the small mountains at a glance". The tour guide told us that Tiandu Peak is the most dangerous and beautiful place in Huangshan Mountain, and it is also the essence of Huangshan Mountain’s scenic spots. Therefore, "If you don't go to Tiandu Peak, it means nothing" has become a widely circulated local saying. No wonder someone wrote the word "Exploration" on a stone next to the top. In this way, we have even more reason to be excited and proud that we can overcome difficulties and obstacles, overcome physical fatigue, and climb Tiandu Peak safely and smoothly!

Not far from Tiandu Juedong is "Crucian Carp Back". The tour guide said that "Crucian Carp Back" is the most dangerous part of Tiandu Peak, with a length of nearly 30 meters and an abyss on both sides. Although there are stone pillars on both sides of the back of the "crucian carp" for tourists to walk on, people can pass safely by holding on to the ropes when walking on it. But when I walked onto the "crucian carp's back", I still felt cold in the palms of my hands, numb in my scalp, and even more uneasy in my heart. When I saw that my companions had reached the other end of the "crucian carp" calmly and steadily, I gained confidence, so I gritted my teeth, made up my mind, grabbed the rope and walked slowly over. Only when we were in a spacious place did we dare to look back and take a look at the bottom of the cliff. After passing the "Crucian Carp Back", the mountain road is gentle and wide. Everyone's tight strings finally relaxed, and the "stones" hanging in their hearts truly fell to the ground. After a short rest, everyone relaxed and happily enjoyed the Yixiantian, Penglai Three Islands, Wenshu Cave, Yingke Pine and other scenic spots, and then went to Yupinglou Cableway Station to take the cableway down the mountain, ending another trip to Huangshan.

This time we climbed Huangshan Tiandu Peak, which tested our physical fitness, tempered our will, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and realized our long-cherished wish. We really gained a lot. And my deepest feeling is: the dangers of Tiandu can be conquered, but the beauty of Huangshan is indescribable. Believe
