Shanghai characteristic architecture

1. Yangpu Bridge: It is a bridge designed and built by China, which spans the Huangpu River in Shanghai. Yangpu Bridge started on April 29th, 199 1, and was completed on September 29th,193. It lasted only two years and five months, and was opened to traffic on October 23rd 10 in the same year. The total length is 8354m, in which the main bridge165,438+078m. The 602-meter-long main bridge is like a rainbow across the Pujiang River, ranking first among similar cable-stayed bridges in the world.

2. Paramount: Paramount is a famous comprehensive entertainment place in Shanghai. The full name is "Paramount Hotel Ballroom". 1929, Dahua Hotel, which was originally opened on Gordon Road (now Jiangning Road) and operated a ballroom, closed down. The West District of Shanghai is known as the "aristocratic area" and there is no entertainment place suitable for the "aristocratic area". 1932, China businessman Gu Liancheng invested 702,000 silver to build the Paramount Temple in Jing 'an Temple, and named it "Paramount Gate" after homonym.

3. Peace Hotel: Peace Hotel is a landmark building in Shanghai, located at No.20 Nanjing East Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai. It is the first modernist building in Shanghai's modern architectural history, with the most distinctive nine-country suite and many unique restaurants, banquet halls, multi-function halls, bars and rooftop sightseeing gardens.

4. Shanghai World Expo Park: 20 10 The Shanghai World Expo venue is located between nanpu bridge and Lupu Bridge, along the banks of the Huangpu River in Shanghai. The planned land area of the Expo Park is 5.28 square kilometers, and the park is divided into five exhibition halls: independent pavilion, joint pavilion, enterprise pavilion, theme pavilion and China pavilion.

5. Oriental Pearl TV Tower: The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is one of Shanghai's iconic cultural landscapes, located in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area, with a height of about 468 meters. The building was completed in July of 199 1 and put into use in May of 1995. It undertakes 6 sets of wireless TV transmission services in Shanghai, covering 80 kilometers.
