Five famous film and television parks
You may remember my first post about “Famous Photography Castles You Can Visit.” Well, now it's time to take a look at some of the UK's most magnificent homes, where many period drama shows and films were filmed. Since these homes can be quite expensive to maintain, much like castles, many are open to the public to increase the revenue needed for repairs. So, whether you want to pretend you're a valet at Downton Abbey or wish to see Mr Darcy strolling around the lawn in a wet shirt, there's plenty more to visit. Mantemore Tower
Built in 1855 for Baron Meyer Amschel de Rothschild, the building's architect was Joseph Paxon ) designed the Crystal Palace for the Great Exhibition of 1851. He died in 1874 and his wife in 1877, after which the house passed to their daughter, Hannah Primrose, Countess of Rosebery, and her husband, the future 5th Earl of Rosebery. Prime Minister Archibald. After the death of the sixth Earl in 1974, the house went through a series of owners before finally falling into the hands of the Reuben brothers in 2009, with plans to develop it into a hotel. During World War II, it housed El Dorado coaches to protect it from German bombing raids. As a film location, it has appeared in many pictures, including "Brazil," "Eyes Wide Shut," "Quill" and "The Mummy Returns." Its most notable recent film uses were as Wayne Manor for "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight Rises." While the house's status as a hotel is still being worked out, Mentmore Golf and Country Club is on the nearby grounds, with memberships available. 2. Hatfield House
This large manor house was built in 1611 by Robert Cecil, the first Earl of Salisbury and chief minister to King James I. Cecil's Great Jacob's Palace is connected to the previously built Hatfield House, which was the early residence of Mary I and Elizabeth I. Elizabeth Oaks is reportedly where she discovered Mary's death and became queen. Hatfield also has numerous film credits, including playing the interior of Wayne Manor in Tim Burton's "Batman," V in "Vengeance," and roles in "The King's Speech," "Harry Potter and Death Played V in "The Hallows", etc. The gardens also host the model village in the form of "hot plush". In addition, the house has a farm that visitors can visit. Visitor season runs from March 30 to September 29.

3.
Knoll House Thomas Buchill, Archbishop of Canterbury, built this house around 1456. Later, it became the royal residence of the Tudors in 1532 after Henry VIII bought it and converted it into Jacobean Country House in 1605. It was later leased to the Sackville family and part of it remains the residence of the Sackville West family. The remaining houses are managed by the National Trust and can be visited every day of the week except Monday. The Beatles filmed videos for "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever" there. Films filmed at the Knoll include The Other Boleyn Girl, Burke and the Rabbit, Hysteria, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. In January 2012, the National Trust began a campaign to restore parts of the house, which remain covered in scaffolding as repair work continues.
Knole house 4. Lyme Park
Another National Trust house, this one was built in the late 15th century. Located in Cheshire, much additions were made over the centuries, giving it a mix of Elizabethan, Palladian and Baroque styles. As well as most of the estate's gardens, Lyme also has a deer park where red and fallow deer graze alongside the cattle. Its most famous media image is as Mr Darcy's property Pemberley in Pride and Prejudice. Even though these interiors were photographed in another home, riding a horse to Lyme Park can still instill in visitors a sense of wonder that it did for Elizabeth Bennet. Additionally, it was used in 2011
