There are three types of hotel deposits:

1. When you check into the hotel, the front desk will ask you to pay a deposit, which is generally an integer more than the room rate 100. When you check out, the deposit will be deducted and the rest will be returned.

2. Hotels booked online. At this time, some hotels need to freeze a credit card in advance. After checking out at the store, the frozen money is deducted from the room rate, and the rest is thawed.

3. Hotels booked online. Some hotels don't need to freeze your credit card online, and they don't need to pay fees. This time it's the same as the first point.

Legal basis: Article 425 of the Civil Law of People's Republic of China (PRC): In order to guarantee the performance of the debt, if the debtor or a third party gives the chattel output to the creditor for possession, and if the debtor fails to perform the due debt or realize the pledge according to the agreement of the parties, the creditor has the right to be paid in priority for the chattel. The debtor or the third party specified in the preceding paragraph is the pledger, the creditor is the pledgee, and the delivered movable property is the pledged property.
